Aeolus opened a cabinet and grabbed a flashlight. He backed up to open a door and ran to the graveyard. When he came to the graveyard, he opened a small gate and approached Nixxin, Drei, and Util. Aeolus opened the flashlight and pointed it at the trapdoor. "Can't we just do this in the morning?"
Util's eyes narrow as he looks at Aeolous. "Do I have to remind you to use your brain?"
Nixxin tries opening the trapdoor, clang... the door opens, and he gets shocked. "What the... fuck!"
Drei, Util, and Aeolous look inside. Drei gets angry; he thinks that they're just spending their time. "Why the hell is there another door?"
Nixxin reached for the door inside the trapdoor. "Don't worry; it is obvious that this blade is also the key for it."
The second trapdoor opens, and Nixxin smiles. "See? I told you."
Nixxin tries to fit his body to enter inside, then Nixxin feels something in his foot; it is metal, specifically a ladder. "Aeolous, follow me, I need light!" Drei gets confused.
Aeolous put his feet inside while Util was holding the flashlight. After Aeolous stepped foot onto the ladder, he said, "Util, give me the flashlight."
Aeolous points the flashlight below for Nixxin, then Nixxin slowly descends. "Aeolous, drop the flashlight!" Nixxin shouts to the hole. The flashlight drops, and Nixxin points it everywhere; he sees nothing.
Nixxin points the flashlight to the hole, then Aeolous falls, and Drei follows, then Util. Util's eyes ache as he looks to the darkness. "Shit, this place is darker than my father's humor."
Drei got tired of the stupidity of these three: "Out of everyone, why the fuck do you give the flashlight to someone that has a bioluminescent body?"
Nixxin smiles. "Yeah, sure." Nixxin gives the flashlight to Util.
Aeolous looks to his left and right. "Should we go left or right?"
Util looks at his right. "I guess we should go to your right."
As they walk to the east part of the underground, they still can't see anything. Aeolous hugs Nixxin. "Man, you bring light to my life."
Nixxin got annoyed. "Yeah, cause who else would shine in here?"
Then they finally see a turn. Util points the flashlight to the left. "A turn to the left? I don't like this direction."
Drei got angry. "How the fuck are we hating on a direction?!"
Util looks at Drei. "Hating is common, you know?"
Nixxin looks at the wall. "Wait, guys, look at this. There's a hand in here; it looks like it's begging for something."
Util points a flashlight at it. "I think we should bring a chainsaw."
Aeolous looks at him. "What? Why would you cut it? It's beautiful, man."
Util glanced at Aeolous. "It's made in gold, you see."
Nixxin cut a small wound in his index finger and dropped blood on his hand. "How do we use magic, guys?"
Aeolous looks at the hand. "If you don't have the contract in the sun and you're not from a clan, then you can only use it by learning it yourself."
Nixxin looks at Aeolous. "Really? Then Drei really studied your Aircut."
Aeolous shocked and happy hearing it and shook Drei. "Wait, really? You studied my magic? Even I don't have it, but you do. How?"
Drei looks at him angrily and annoyed. "Well, since both of us don't have clan access and don't have a contract with the sun, it's because I can copy anything I see. The only problem I have with doing an aircut is because I don't have the energy inside my heart."
Util looks at them. "What? What energy is that?"
Drei looks at Util. "Aren't you from a clan, so you're supposed to know it?"
Aeolous calms himself. "You see, the heart always sends blood to the brain—that blood carries oxygen, and that oxygen is consumed by the brain. After consuming it, the brain will exchange the oxygen for some unknown energy." Drei and Util nod. Aeolous continues, "That energy will be sent to the heart, and that energy makes the blood balance when it is outside the body, but to control it, you have to have a clan or contracts and medulla oblongata; that part of the brain controls the blood when it is released outside by shaping the energy that balances the blood outside, but since we don't have contracts or a clan, except for Util, we only rely on the unbalanced form of blood, just like what Nixxin's doing right now." Then the three of them look at Nixxin.
While they're talking about the bloodpath magic, Nixxin closes his eyes and holds the two hands; he clears his mind. At first, it feels weird. He still hears them talking; he still can't relax his brain and stop overthinking, but after trying, he lets every signal and every piece of information enter. While calming, he feels warm; he is feeling it through his body. His body accepted the warmth, a warmth that feels like a hug from someone. Then he feels wet; it is a liquid. The hand suddenly feels wet; it wasn't, but for Nixxin it is. Then he sees a color, a color of blood, and it wasn't a normal blood; it was glowing, brighter and brighter. Nixxin smiles at it; his brain is too focused to overthink, but this feels like something, like gasoline. It is liquid; it can be warm and be bright. But if Nixxin had a clan, it was a clan called Highcrest, a clan that focuses on energy, and it wasn't something logical magic; it was supernatural. Nixxin suddenly sees the hands; without even opening his eyes, he sees the hands with all of their detail, even the blood that he dropped earlier. Then, the longer he focuses on it, the more detailed the place is. He is starting to see the wall, his feet, the edge of the wall because of the turn, even his own body, his looks, his eyes, and all of his organs inside his body. Then, three shadows beside him appear; the three are talking to each other. Then the blood glows; it glows and glows, then it vanishes. The hand absorbs the blood. For a second, he sees the place as full of light, coming from a golden hand. The three shadows vanish, and he sees Util, Aeolous, and Drei, covering their eyes after seeing the light.
Nixxin opened his eyes, then he closed them and covered his eyes; it felt like he was blinded. He heard a voice: "Nixxin! Can you see something? Man, we can't damn see." It was Drei's voice.
Then Nixxin laughs after hearing it, and then he hears another voice: "What the, not funny, man. I think I'm going blind."
Then the lights weaken and weaken until they vanish, except for a light that forms in the wall, as if guiding them to some place. Nixxin stood up, and Aeolus looked at the light. "Are we supposed to follow this light?"
Util walks and follows the light. "What are you guys waiting for?"
While they are walking, Aeolous suddenly feels sadness in him, as some thoughts come to his mind; he remembers his family and clan, and then he wonders, "Have you guys also missed your family?"
Nixxin stops walking, Aeolous looks at him, and Nixxin continues, "Well, of course I miss Uncle and Grandpa."
Drei looks at him. "You don't have parents?"
Nixxin smiles faintly. "Yeah, they died after I was born, because of a demon attack in the Andromeda Galaxy."
Util at the front hears them, "I don't understand why everyone is so attached to their family."
Drei is shocked; he cannot understand himself. By just those words, his brain feels like crumbling with emotion. He feels angry, sad, envious, and shameful. "Because it is your family?"
Util looks back at Drei. "You guys have deep bonds just because they're your family? What a stupid reason."
Drei's eyes widened in his thought, What? What's wrong with him? Aeolus is confused by what's happening, Util continues walking, and the silence in the tunnel become louder.
