Mingo enjoyed the feeling of controlling everyone's fate in his own hands.
As long as he lightly plucked the strings in his hands, everyone and everything was under his control.
However, he never expected that this plan would go wrong from the very beginning.
The strength of Redfield and Taro was much higher than he had imagined.
Now, not only had neither of his two goals been achieved,
But he had also allowed the World Government to notice some of his intentions, and they had turned his scheme against him, making him a link in an even larger plan.
The plan was out of control, he had been outmaneuvered by the World Government, and six of his family members were heavily injured.
The current situation made Mingo so angry he was almost going mad.
Meanwhile, Taro also figured out the key points of the whole matter, and instantly felt a chill run down his spine.
Damn, you people who play at politics really have black hearts!
The entire Sicily Island was a chessboard, and everyone who landed on the island was a pawn.
This, of course, included Mingo, who thought of himself as the player.
Taro felt that he was the only one with the simplest objective in the entire event.
Oh, right, there was also Katakuri; his objective was also very simple.
He just simply wanted to beat me to death!
Thinking of this, Taro felt indignant and wanted to curse even more!
"Tch, Doflamingo, do you understand now what I meant when I said you think you're holding the reins, but the reins are also binding you?"
As the most innocent, simplest, and least scheming person who had been plotted against the hardest,
Taro really couldn't stomach this resentment and couldn't help but mock him.
Mingo was furious. He turned directly to stare at Taro, his cheeks twitching.
"Taro, you're looking for death!"
Saying that, he raised his arm, preparing to strike.
Just then, a loud explosion suddenly erupted from the northern hill. In an instant, rocks shattered and dust filled the sky.
This sudden development immediately caught Mingo's attention.
His plan had nearly spiraled out of control by now, and any slight movement would trigger his sensitive nerves, making his brow twitch wildly.
There are other people on this island!
Mingo's face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot.
Taro wished for the fight to be delayed. His Internal Energy was rapidly nourishing his Meridians and healing his injuries. The longer it was delayed, the more advantageous it would be for him.
Looking up into the distance, Taro took a glance and praised:
"Tsk tsk, what a grand display. This island is truly lively!"
On the hill, Rob Lucci in his Leopard Form leaped high and shattered the boulder Moria had been leaning against with a whip kick.
Wanluos Group had been following the battle between Taro and Katakuri earlier.
However, because Taro was ambushed and lost in the final clash, the energy reactions of the two suddenly ended, and the image dissipated. Thus, Wan Luo and the others did not see Lucci's trio appear later.
Therefore, Wan Luo switched the image back to the side where Doflamingo and Redfield were in a fierce battle.
They naturally saw the scene where Redfield used some kind of leaf to create an illusion of "Kaido."
Even though he knew it was an illusion, the shadow of his crushing defeat when challenging Kaido 21 years ago and the total annihilation of his subordinates still lingered in Moria's heart.
Moria's mind wavered. He thought that his time spent cultivating his character had made him gradually forget those past events.
It was only now that he realized he couldn't forget!
It was also at the moment when his emotions were most turbulent that he failed to notice Lucci's trio approaching.
Then, the previous scene occurred.
"Gekko Moriah! I didn't expect you to be with Wanluos Group now!"
Lucci's eyes in his Leopard Form became even more cruel, his tone chilling.
"Forget it. The news of you still being alive would be a hassle to leak out anyway. It's better for you to have 'died in the Marineford War'!"
The sudden appearance of Lucci's trio interrupted Moria's reminiscence of the past.
After dodging Lucci's attack, his massive body shielded Absalom and Wan Luo's group behind him.
"Kishishishi! The most outstanding Genius in the history of CP9. I heard that after you were defeated by the Straw Hat boy, you were ordered to be hunted by the World Government. Now you've joined CP0? Is this a case of recycling trash?"
Hearing Moria's mockery, Lucci's gaze became even sharper.
Being defeated by Luffy was the stain of his life. At this moment, with the old matter brought up again, Lucci's fists clenched until they creaked.
However, Moria wasn't finished. He said somewhat self-deprecatingly:
"I was also defeated by the Straw Hat boy and then ordered to be wiped out by the World Government. Speaking of which, we really are fellow sufferers! Kishishishi!"
Lucci glanced at Moria with great disdain.
"You are not worthy of being compared to me."
After seeing the situation on the hill, the veins on Mingo's temples throbbed violently.
He leaped up, his white strings catching onto the low clouds as he flew toward the hill.
How could Redfield easily let Mingo leave? Having recovered a bit after resting, his figure became a red afterimage as he gave chase.
Taro was also surprised to see Moria. What was this old fellow doing on this island with Absalom?
And who were the young man and woman with them?
Taro frowned and glanced at Katakuri out of the corner of his eye.
Katakuri noticed Taro's gaze. With a flick of his wrist, he retracted his Trident into his body.
"You were ambushed by Stussy and your body is injured. I will give you time to recover."
"But, I'm warning you, don't even think about escaping!"
Taro chuckled upon hearing this. "Heh, our duel isn't over yet, I know!"
After saying that, he tapped his feet lightly and leaped toward the hill.
Katakuri, with a grim face, followed suit.
The things happening today were too unusual, forcing him to pay attention.
The four big shots arrived one after another, making Lucci and Moria, who were in a tense standoff, alert. For a moment, neither dared to strike rashly.
The moment Absalom saw Taro land on the hill, his figure flickered, and half of his body had already entered a transparent state.
Then, he remembered that the Clear-Clear Fruit ability was useless in front of Taro. His face turned ugly, his mind shaken, and his body began to switch back and forth between reality and illusion.
"Fuffuffuffu, Moria, why are you on this island too?"
Mingo seemed to be laughing wildly, but there was more anger in his tone.
During the Marineford War, his experience of leading the pacifists to wipe out Moria made him almost certain the moment he saw Moria that he was also here to sabotage his plan.
Moria also remembered that experience vividly. If it hadn't been for Absalom's desperate rescue, he would have died then.
Thinking of Absalom, Moria was moved. No matter what happened today, he would not let Absalom be harmed.
"Doflamingo, I will naturally settle our old grudge later. But today, our arrival on this island has nothing to do with your schemes. We only came here to escape the pursuit of CP0."
