Scarlet Witch Wanda finally came back to her senses. Unknowingly, Vincent had arranged everything for them.
Inside the apartment provided by Oscorp.
Quicksilver, Pietro, asked, "Do you really believe this Mr. Hall?"
"I can feel he holds no malice toward us," Wanda whispered. "Besides, what can we do now? We can't change the current situation at all."
Pietro nodded. "I've met Gotze. He's powerful, heard he's a Super Soldier injected with gene serum. But I still feel uneasy. Those gene monsters... their personalities were very strange."
Pietro's words reminded Wanda of Baron Strucker. He was definitely a technological genius. Under his leadership, they had cracked much alien technology. With Hydra's power, if they hadn't encountered an unsolvable existence like the Ice Demon, they surely would have achieved greatness instead of being reduced to this—hiding like rats, afraid to show themselves.
"Super Gene Soldiers have stable minds. I don't see any drawbacks for now," Wanda answered Pietro's doubts.
"That's good. By the way, does that Ancient One really exist? Would such a powerful figure really give Mr. Hall face?"
"You don't want to know how powerful Mr. Hall is. His existence surpasses my cognition. When he stood before me, I thought the sun had fallen to earth," Wanda expressed her feelings.
Even more terrifying was that this Ice Demon could absorb sunlight. As the sun shone on his body, his power strengthened continuously, getting stronger every second. This was a situation Wanda had never encountered. Though she had little experience, she understood that a person whose power rose infinitely with no ceiling would become unimaginably strong.
Simultaneously, the image of the Celestials Vincent showed via the Reality Stone surfaced in Wanda's mind. That terrifying oppression. Even just an image was enough to make her feel the threat of death. Did such peculiar lifeforms really exist?
"Anyway, we must be careful," Pietro whispered.
Wanda nodded, her expression grave. They had no choice. From the moment Vincent appeared before them, their fate was in his hands.
But his actions puzzled them. Why them? Was their power truly that unique?
Wanda especially thought of Vincent's words. For the first time, she felt curious about her power. Would her future self really be as powerful as Vincent said? If she became that strong, could she deal with the Ice Demon?
"Boss, Wanda and Pietro are settled."
Julia Roberts walked to Vincent's side and sat in his lap. Her intimate actions made Vincent feel the heat radiating from the woman in his arms.
Since injecting the Super Soldier Serum, Julia's skin had improved, exuding a mature temperament yet possessing the smooth skin of an eighteen-year-old. Plus, her skills in serving others had improved recently, making Vincent somewhat addicted to his secretary.
"They are a pitiful pair, but I've changed their fate. In the future, they will bring powerful assistance to Oscorp. Especially Wanda; the magic power within her is truly breathtaking."
Vincent's hands wandered over Julia, but his mouth praised another woman's power.
Julia was somewhat dissatisfied. She used her techniques, instantly drawing Vincent's attention back.
"Little girl, is your skin itching?" Vincent chuckled.
"Giggle, Boss, I'm your loyal fan. Why don't we try the plot from your book right here in the office?"
Julia looked at Vincent with silky, seductive eyes. Vincent was instantly moved.
...
New York. Inside a mysterious, isolated secret room.
The Hellfire Club.
Nominally a mutant organization. Due to the appearance of the Cure, the club members had been keeping a low profile. But the Hellfire Club wasn't purely a mutant organization; its members were elites from around the globe, each possessing immense influence.
Even when mutants were most rampant, the military wouldn't attack this club because they knew exactly who its members were. It was practically the Freemasonry established by mutants.
Inside the secret room, holographic projections appeared. The nine chairs representing the leadership showed a vacancy.
"Baron Strucker has been killed. The Black Nest base he built has been destroyed."
A woman wearing a Viper mask spoke the heartbreaking news in a foxy, sexy voice.
"Baron Strucker was our rotating chairman and a leader in technology. His death pains us. But, everyone, we must discard grief and face the crisis-ridden future," said a woman wearing a Red Skull mask coldly.
Her identity was special. All Hydra elders showed respect to this woman. While Strucker was a leader in the scientific field, everyone knew how terrifying this woman's influence and resources within Hydra were. Moreover, she was a super-powerful superhuman herself.
She was the Red Skull's daughter, Cynthia "Sin" Schmidt.
As Sin spoke, the other elders looked at her.
"I have found the secret of the Winter Hammer. Hydra is about to welcome a powerful God. This God will definitely be able to deal with the Ice Demon." Sin revealed a fanatical expression.
"I believe you've all encountered the Rainbow Bridge descending in New Mexico, and that Thunder God from Asgard. How powerful is he? The hammer in his hand makes him a God of Thunder."
Sin's lips curled up.
"I need you to mobilize all forces to find the other hammers. Gather the power of the Divine Hammers, break Odin's seal, and release our true leader, ruler, and God of Fear—The Serpent."
This was Sin's goal. She needed the support of all Hydra forces.
"The Serpent cannot be controlled by us. Once released, Earth will fall into catastrophe. This might not be a good thing for our control of Earth," a Hydra elder replied. He was white-haired, with eyes full of wisdom, but never showed his true face, only using a codename. No one knew his true identity.
"But what about the Ice Demon?" Sin said simply.
Inwardly, Sin laughed maniacally. The existence of the Ice Demon made her plan smoother. No Hydra member wished to encounter the Ice Demon again.
"We all know the Ice Demon possesses weird invasion abilities like Professor X. Do you think your disguised identities won't be discovered by him? Once he senses you are a Hydra elder, I believe he won't mind invading your mind and peeping at all your memories and secrets."
Sin understood well that the Council elders were hard to deal with. But their greatest fear was exposure. Sin seized on their weakness, attempting to seize Hydra's supreme authority, just like her father ruled Hydra back then.
"What is the origin of the God of Fear?" asked Susan.
Sin looked at Susan with a trace of softness in her eyes. This was her father's follower. Years ago, it was Susan's obstruction that allowed Sin to survive and be raised by her.
"We all know of Thor Odinson. Thor's father is Odin Odinson. But they have another surname: the Borson family."
Sin spoke calmly.
"Odin is the All-Father, King of Asgard. His power conquered the Nine Realms."
"And the God of Fear, Cul Borson, is the Asgardian God of Fear, Odin's brother."
Sin introduced him. She had spent a huge price collecting this information after contacting the God of Fear.
"The Ice Demon must die. His existence severely threatens Hydra." Susan looked around the room, stating a fact.
"The Ice Demon didn't just destroy Strucker; he destroyed Hydra's future. If we want to realize our ideals, we must destroy him," Susan argued forcefully. With her status in Hydra, her words carried heavy weight.
"The Ice Demon is in New York. Killing him thoroughly is nearly impossible," another elder objected.
"That is why I want to release the God of Fear to deal with him." Sin looked even more determined.
"Then let's vote!"
As Susan raised her hand, the other six elders raised their hands one after another. Seeing this, Sin finally couldn't suppress her joy. She laughed happily.
"Everyone, this will be a turning point in Hydra's history."
The God of Fear, Cul Borson. The Serpent. How strong was he? Sin felt he could kill the Ice Demon.
Night. The starry sky was enchanting.
"Mr. Hall, a rare guest!"
Vincent's figure appeared on the roof of a building in New York. Following his appearance, the Ancient One, wearing yellow robes, crossed a vast distance to arrive. She wore a smile, showing respect to the man before her. The Ice Demon's power was enough to earn her respect.
"Just wanted to see if this surgeon can recover from the blow." Vincent smiled.
"This is his fate. If it changes, he won't be him." The Ancient One's words carried a warning. She didn't want Vincent interfering with Stephen Strange. He was her chosen successor. No issues could occur.
But the Ice Demon's power exceeded her imagination. It was still growing. The Ancient One even suspected that if she threw Vincent into the Dark Dimension, he might have enough power to fight her nemesis, Dormammu.
"A pity. New York will lose an outstanding surgeon." Vincent smiled.
"This isn't your style." The Ancient One looked at Vincent suspiciously.
"Do you know the Scarlet Witch?" Vincent asked suddenly.
"Scarlet Witch?!!" The Ancient One's face turned serious.
As a sorcerer, she naturally heard of the Scarlet Witch's existence. The most ancient, evil, and terrifyingly powerful mage. She, the Sorcerer Supreme, knew the legends. If the Scarlet Witch truly appeared, it would be a disaster for the mortal world, even the multiverse.
"If the Scarlet Witch practices from the Darkhold, I wonder if your chosen Sorcerer Supreme can really deal with her?" Vincent asked, knowing the answer.
Doctor Strange wouldn't be a match for the Scarlet Witch. Without plot armor, even with the Darkhold, Strange wouldn't beat her.
A shadow crossed the Ancient One's heart. "You found her?" she asked urgently.
"Seems you are full of vigilance against the Scarlet Witch." Vincent smiled slightly.
"The Darkhold is in Kamar-Taj, guarded by the Sorcerer Supreme for generations." The Ancient One took a deep breath and revealed this intel.
"I thought mastering the magic of the Book of Vishanti would make you fearless of the Darkhold," Vincent said calmly.
"You don't understand the horror of the Darkhold," the Ancient One warned, not elaborating.
"I know its horror. So I'm thinking: if a person wielding Chaos Magic practices from the Book of Vishanti, would they choose a different path, completely changing the birth of the Scarlet Witch?" Vincent's gaze burned as he looked at the Ancient One.
The hooded Ancient One's face was covered in gloom. "This isn't a multiple-choice question." She shook her head.
"But I know that even if you found the Scarlet Witch, you wouldn't kill her." Vincent said confidently.
The Ancient One removed her hood. "You don't understand me at all, Mr. Hall."
A dark rune mark appeared on her forehead.
"Dormammu's power has begun to erode your mind. The only way to stop falling into the dark abyss is death." Vincent looked at her forehead, unsurprised.
"This is the consequence of borrowing dark power. But I don't regret it. After all, I've lived a very, very long time." The Ancient One relaxed. This young man was hard to deal with. He knew too much. It worried her.
"That's why I admire you. Firm will, unaffected by dark power, not tempted or twisted by it."
"Speak. What exactly do you want to do?" The Ancient One interrupted again. She didn't want to chat with the Ice Demon. It exhausted her. She had to be vigilant every second.
"Pass on your experience and magic to Scarlet Witch Wanda." Vincent didn't hide his intent.
"You are creating an unprecedentedly terrifying mage. If she truly becomes the legendary Scarlet Witch and descends upon this world with dark power, who can stop her evil?" The Ancient One's gaze was aggressive.
"If Wanda has issues, I will naturally deal with her. Even if you teach her all the power of the Book of Vishanti, she won't be my match." Vincent said confidently.
The Ancient One stared at Vincent. After a long time, she relented. "You can send her to Kamar-Taj."
She was moved. She possessed an adventurous spirit. It was this spirit that made her such a powerful mage.
"I will. Trust me, you won't regret agreeing to me today." Vincent exuded confidence.
The Ancient One asked, "Is this a trade?" Clearly, she was probing for a deal with the devil.
"I owe Kamar-Taj a favor." Vincent shrugged, indifferent to her phrasing.
"It seems you care about the Scarlet Witch." The Ancient One blinked.
"The future multiverse will become colorful because of her existence."
Vincent took a step, turned into light, and vanished.
The Ancient One shook her head. She looked at the despondent Stephen Strange. There was still plenty of time before Strange found Kamar-Taj. During this period, she needed to teach the Scarlet Witch seriously.
She really wanted to see what level the Scarlet Witch could reach in her hands.
