"Huh! Why is the bank closed in broad daylight?"
While eating crepes, Kuroko, to distract herself, began to look around. Her usual vigilance against illegal activities immediately made her realize that something was amiss.
"I'll help too."
Mikoto put away her 'frog' and said to Kuroko, who had already put on her armband. She naturally enjoyed fighting injustice, so how could she not get involved when encountering such a situation? When faced with something so exciting… oh no!… something so infuriating, it wouldn't be Misaka Mikoto's style not to help.
"Don't be ridiculous, Onee-sama, you're not a 'Judgment' member, and besides, as a Level 5 esper, if you act, do they even have a chance to live? So, please don't add to our workload."
"Haruue, contact the Anti-Skill. Tell them to prepare for a siege, don't let anyone escape."
Shirai Kuroko stopped Mikoto, who had an 'excited' look on her face, and began to skillfully arrange things with Haruue. Finally, she turned her head to another esper, Yowane. She didn't know why, but recently, every time she saw Yowane, her heart would instantly race, blood would rush to her face, and she couldn't even control what she said. This was truly very bad!
"Um, Yowane-onee-sama, please don't interfere in the incident either."
Kuroko said in a low voice, looking down at her toes.
"I understand, but it depends on the situation. You go and resolve it quickly!"
Yowane said to Kuroko with a smile, but Kuroko, who was looking down, didn't see it. After a gentle nod, Kuroko immediately activated her ability and disappeared from the spot. Yowane, on the other hand, watched the commotion with Ruiko and Mikoto. Haruue's work was quick; in no time, the Anti-Skill arrived in their car, and out stepped a familiar face.
"Surround the bank, don't let the criminals escape."
"You little rascal, how did you end up here, chan~!"
After giving instructions to her subordinates, Eisou turned to look at Yowane, who was standing among the three spectators.
"I was just playing nearby with friends, and I didn't expect to run into something like this."
Yowane spread her hands, looking at Eisou with an innocent expression. This wasn't a lie; it was just a 'coincidence' that she encountered such a thing.
"Girl, remember that beneath the surface of the city lies unimaginable darkness. If you accidentally encounter it, please don't delve deeper. Remember, this is your home."
The series of events that had recently occurred made Eisou feel that the dark side was stirring. She didn't want this person, whom she had watched grow up since childhood and treated like a younger sister, to suffer any harm.
"Of course, Eisou-nee, don't worry!"
With deep emotion flashing in her eyes, Yowane said with a smile. When she was in the Heavenly Realm, she couldn't feel a sense of home at all. The two of them were unusually enthusiastic, not like they were treating family, but rather a partner, which made her very uncomfortable. She liked 2D, and the people here were sincere in their emotions and treated her like family, which was why she was so sad when she left.
"Quickly take your friends to safety!"
Nodding at Yowane with satisfaction, Eisou picked up her automatic rifle and began to walk towards the bank entrance.
"Are we leaving?"
"How could we? I never said I was a good child."
Hearing Ruiko's question, Yowane immediately denied her image as a good girl.
"Although it's nothing major, there are still things we need to do."
Mikoto asked Yowane with a curious expression. Normally, by this time, she would have already gone up and given them a'shock therapy' session, incapacitating the enemies. But now, this was the first time she had encountered a bank robbery, which was not on the same level as dealing with delinquents in the past.
"For now, let's evacuate the bystanders!"
With an expression that seemed to say, 'Are you two stupid?', Yowane stated the obvious.
"Uh! Okay x2"
Their expressions instantly froze. Then, they replied to Yowane's words and turned to evacuate the surrounding bystanders. Yowane, meanwhile, kept her eyes on the scene, ready to intervene with her telekinesis at any moment. Better safe than sorry; even experienced drivers can crash, let alone others, so it's better to be careful.
Finally, without any major incidents (Ruiko getting beaten, Mikoto getting enraged), Kuroko apprehended the pyrokinesis user who had used Imagine Breaker, thus resolving everything. With Eisou's help, the five of them avoided being taken in for questioning. After continuing their shopping, they parted ways and returned to their respective dorms.
"Long time no see, Teacher Kiyama. We can meet again."
Yowane, taking a bath, thought of the disheveled woman who dared not see her, a smile on her lips. She planned to make her appearance at the very end of this matter. She felt a sense of guilt towards Kiyama; she had the ability to save everyone but allowed it to happen because she needed the 'Imagine Beast,' which was within her power to prevent.
"In the end, I'm still a selfish person."
Yowane chuckled self-deprecatingly and began to dry herself. She planned to use her fruit ability to directly copy the abilities of ten thousand people. The targets for copying were in the 'Imagine Beast's' head, that 'Ability Crystal.' This was the ability of ten thousand people, and although it couldn't compare to the 'Artificial Angel' Kazakiri Hyouka, it was more than enough for Yowane's needs.
"Kihara Clan, prepare yourselves. Wait a little longer, and I will ignite divine fire in all your souls."
Yowane, lying on her bed, suddenly revealed a fierce smile, though no one could see it.
