A month later, Galahad successfully presented the Holy Grail to Liya. She was rewarded with a noble title by Liya and officially joined the Knights of the Round Table. Three days later, Galahad died. The whole country mourned that day. Sir Lancelot painfully held her adopted daughter, silently.
"Enough, look at how decadent you are now. Are you worthy of Galahad, who completed her mission?"
That day, Zeus finally couldn't help but burst out. Although Sir Lancelot still came to greet Zeus every day, her constant deadpan expression made people uncomfortable to look at.
"But if I hadn't recommended her, she wouldn't have died. She was so young."
But Sir Lancelot hadn't recovered from Galahad's passing. She tearfully and sadly said to Zeus.
"She has fulfilled her mission; do not tarnish her resolve."
"If she saw you like this, she would probably be even sadder."
Zeus sighed, expressing her fondness for the Shield Maiden. However, this was part of fate, something no one could change. Zeus could only pray for the lovely girl.
"I apologize, I lost my composure."
Sir Lancelot was silent for a moment, then bowed to Zeus, apologizing. She was ashamed of having tarnished a knight's firm resolve and proud of her adopted daughter.
"That's why you knights always overthink things."
Zeus sighed, gently stroking Sir Lancelot's purple hair, and offered her assessment.
This intimate gesture, in Zeus's eyes, was merely between good friends, but to others, it seemed a bit ambiguous, especially to a pair of jealous little eyes in the corner, staring intently at Sir Lancelot.
"That's my privilege. How dare this purple-haired scoundrel try to infringe on Mother's love and affection for me?"
Little Mo thought furiously to herself. She believed she was the knight destined to protect Mother her entire life. Why were all these people trying to snatch her privilege and compete with her for Mother's 'love'? Unforgivable.
"If these guys disappeared, then Mother would be all mine."
Suddenly, a dangerous thought sprang up and took root in Little Mo's heart, ready to develop into unpredictable fruit at the opportune moment.
"You scoundrels who steal Mother! When I gain great power, you'll all wash your necks and wait for me!"
"My most beautiful Mother, I will not let these people disturb us, including Father."
Little Mo gazed adoringly at Zeus's retreating figure, then turned and left. She was going to the training grounds to exercise. To 'win Mother back,' she needed to possess greater strength.
"What's wrong, Your Majesty?"
Sir Lancelot saw Zeus suddenly hug herself and shiver, and asked with concern.
"Nothing, I just felt like I was being watched by someone formidable. Or perhaps I'm too sensitive and it's just my imagination."
Zeus rubbed the goosebumps on her arms, which had been raised by the cold, as she replied to Sir Lancelot.
"Rest assured, Queen. With me here, no petty scoundrel can harm you. I will use my longsword and my body to become your most impregnable shield."
As she spoke, Sir Lancelot knelt and swore an oath to Zeus. However, seeing Sir Lancelot's solemn oath gave Zeus a headache. As a flower that grew normally under the Red Flag, Zeus didn't particularly like these old feudal traditions. If not for the circumstances of the era and fate, Zeus would have long since planted the revolutionary Red Flag of Marxism across the entire continent.
"I accept your fealty, Sir Lancelot. I trust your might will ensure our safety."
Zeus grumbled inwardly as she helped the kneeling Sir Lancelot to her feet. This etiquette, in any case, made Zeus feel a bit annoyed.
While Zeus was enthusiastically planting flags here, in another world, Athena began to fulfill her agreement with Pallas. She taught humans weaving techniques and agricultural knowledge, and humanity began to develop steadily. However, the watchful eyes of the Five Sisters made some things very difficult for her.
"You are Athena."
"Hades, the King of the Underworld. It seems you are also with Poseidon!"
A cold sweat broke out on Athena's forehead. Her guess was indeed correct, but she hadn't expected the other party to find her so quickly and corner her here. It seemed the other party had ill intentions.
"I have no intention of helping Poseidon regain her face, but there is one thing I must know. Today, your answer will determine whether you fall."
Hades spoke to Athena with an imposing and cold demeanor. At the time, she had only seen Zeus's imprisoned room, not Gaia's intimate encounter with Zeus. Although she had some suspicions, she still needed someone to personally confirm her bold conjecture.
"Who exactly is your Father God?"
Looking at the silent Athena, Hades calmly stated her question.
"You can guess for yourself, Hades."
Athena had no desire to answer Hades's question. She couldn't figure out the other party's objective. If the other party used her as a threat to coerce her Father God, or her Mother God, who was somewhere unknown, that would be bad.
"Your Father God is Gaia, isn't it?"
After a moment of silence at Athena's words, Hades suddenly blurted out a question that almost made Athena fall from the sky. She hadn't expected the other party to have grasped some information.
Although there was no answer, Hades had already gotten her answer from Athena's subtle changes. Regarding the current situation, Hades couldn't help but frown. She hadn't expected things to turn out this way. Zeus had already been forced by Gaia to give birth to a child, so now the nature of the matter had changed.
Initially, they only needed to rescue Zeus and defeat Gaia, but now they had to add eliminating Gaia, their all-powerful grandmother. This difficulty was more than just a slight increase. They had thought it was merely simple imprisonment, but it had unexpectedly developed into this complex situation.
However, no matter what, this girl in front of her could not be allowed to live. Thinking this, Hades, whose eyes had been calm, revealed a strong killing intent. This made Athena's heart tighten. In terms of martial prowess, Hades was even stronger than Poseidon, but Hades was much more intelligent than Poseidon, which elevated Athena's risk assessment of Hades to another level.
Without any movement, as Athena sensed danger, Hades had already rushed forward, wielding the King of the Underworld's Sword and slashing fiercely at Athena. Athena had no chance to resist, not even enough time to raise her shield. She just watched as the sharp sword cleaved down towards her.
But unfortunately, just as Athena closed her eyes in despair, a collision sound rang out. Hearing this sound, Athena quickly opened her eyes and saw a magnificent and enormous staff firmly blocking Hades's attack.
"This is… I didn't expect her to give even this to you. That Grandmother is truly exceptionally fond of you!"
Hades looked with a grim expression at the staff that had suddenly appeared from Athena's body. Only the six sisters (including Zeus, making six) and the previous generation of Titans had ever seen this staff. She hadn't expected it to appear on this little girl.
