"Let's go, to Yggdrasil."
Fred looked at the wreckage scattered before him and made his decision.
"Yes."
Everyone responded in unison.
Their expressions carried sorrow, solemnity, and determination.
Along the way, there was no longer any obstruction. Fred and his group quickly docked inside Yggdrasil.
Soon, green-clad soldiers who had received prior notice floated toward Fred and the others.
"Captain Freed, the situation here has basically stabilized now."
"What about the Eurasian Federation and the East Asian Federation?"
Fred asked.
"They've stayed in their own areas, keeping to themselves."
The Yggdrasil Space Station was enormous, and the three Council Nations each had their own designated zones here.
They were currently in the Atlantic Federation's zone.
The East Asian zone was still some distance away.
"But when the self-destruction happened earlier, we were fortunate to have their help too."
The soldier spoke with a hint of relief on his face.
"For now, it seems the East Asian Federation harbors no ill intentions. However, the Eurasian side appears to be looking for an opportunity to come over."
"Mm."
Fred listened without showing any emotion on his face.
"So where does Captain Freed intend to go?"
Although the soldier didn't know the man's identity, he remained cautious and careful, having received the Commander's instructions.
After all, the Commander had said this person could go anywhere he pleased.
"I need to go to the data center. Please lead the way."
Fred didn't stand on ceremony.
Aside from confirming how PLANT was getting along with the East Asian Federation, he also wanted data.
Whether it was spatial structure data or various intelligence reports, all of it was what he needed.
Of course, although the data centers of the Atlantic Federation, East Asian Federation, and Eurasian Federation were all located in the central zone, they were still separated.
After all, the three Council Nations were not unified.
Sensitive data was naturally kept on separate local networks.
"This..." The soldier hesitated upon hearing this.
"We're still conducting hazard sweeps in the relevant areas. The route might be somewhat dangerous."
As if to punctuate his words, a low rumbling explosion echoed through the narrow corridor.
"How much area has been cleared so far?"
"Currently, about this much."
The soldier presented his Terminal to Fred. The tactical map displayed numerous green and red zones.
Many points of light were steadily encroaching upon the red areas.
It looked almost like a game.
"They're also moving toward the data center. They're probably trying to pass through there to reach the East Asian and Eurasian zones, setting up ambushes at these intersections."
"Yes."
Fred marked several key routes leading to the data center on the tactical map—routes that had few of their own people.
"Yes."
Orphee and the others acknowledged and quickly dispersed in different directions.
The soldier watched, stunned.
"You handle the assaults and mine-clearing. These areas can be left to us."
Fred explained.
The Special Ops Unit operated outside the normal chain of command. Realizing this, the soldier nodded in response.
"Please allow me to report to my superiors."
Even without any intelligence, the people under Fred's command looked like Aces.
Having their help was always a good thing.
"Go ahead."
Fred acknowledged. He didn't have to wait long—the soldier soon returned.
"Commander Minston asked me to thank you for your help."
The soldier said respectfully.
"Mm, let's go."
Fred wasn't too worried about the safety of those few people.
The Atlantic side was already like a trapped beast in a cage.
While it might be more dangerous, on the other hand, they wouldn't have any reinforcements either.
And it was an ambush on top of that—if he didn't dare send them even under these circumstances, then there would be no room for progress at all.
"Understood."
Everything had already been arranged. This time, the soldier said nothing more and simply floated ahead to lead the way.
There was no obstruction along the route. Most of the Atlantic forces in the area had already been cleared out. Though blood and bodies drifted through the corridors from time to time, accompanied by gunfire and explosions, their path was unusually quiet, deliberately kept clear by the others.
If not for the bright lighting, one might have mistaken it for a horror movie set.
As they floated deeper toward the center, the corridors became progressively cleaner. The chaos had indeed been contained within the Eurasian and Atlantic sectors.
And just as Fred had predicted, as soon as they approached the data center, they ran into people from East Asia.
Dressed in East Asian military uniforms, they stood at the entrance. When they saw the White Uniform on Fred and the mask on his face, they froze for a moment.
But they were guarding their own database. After glancing in Fred's direction, they quickly averted their eyes.
It was only after the group had entered the Atlantic database that the two exchanged a look, a hint of tension appearing on their rigid faces.
"It's the masked man—the one Commander Chen told us to keep an eye on."
"It must be. Having the clearance to come here, he's definitely someone important. And wearing the White Uniform at that."
The two spoke, and one of them quickly opened a communication channel.
On Fred's side, he had successfully obtained most of the data that the Atlantic Fleet had left behind here.
Most of the content concerned things like space defense plans.
Though most of it was already outdated intelligence.
But it was still useful.
He could analyze the Atlantic's operational patterns from it.
However, Fred hadn't come here just for this data.
"So they've noticed my existence after all, have they?"
While parsing the data before him, Fred narrowed his eyes slightly.
He had seen the reactions of the two East Asian soldiers just now.
Their surprise didn't seem fake, but there was also a hint of unexpectedness in it.
Though he couldn't keenly discern what they were thinking and could only speculate, his guess would be verified soon enough.
"Alright."
After collecting the data from the servers before him, Fred turned to head back.
"I'll send the data to your commander later. Let's head back for now."
"Understood!"
Hearing Fred's words, the soldier let out a sigh of relief as well.
This mysterious masked big shot put immense pressure on him.
Not because the man carried any particular authority, but because no matter how you looked at it, he was someone of high status. If he got injured on his watch by some accident, that would spell trouble.
Although the Atlantic sector of Yggdrasil was now mostly under their control, unexpected incidents were hard to rule out.
With his help, they had already eliminated most of the Blue Cosmos threats within the space station.
In his view, the best course of action would be for this mysterious big shot to immediately board his own ship and head back.
