Meanwhile, the scene shifts to Aron, who was monitoring Xian and Azure as they trained deep within the headquarters. He kept his eyes locked onto his monitors, which were rapidly populating with an influx of newly gathered combat data.
Inside the simulated reality, Azure and Xian were facing off in a vast, open grassland.
"It seems like your current capabilities are a bit weaker than they used to be," Azure remarked casually.
Xian, determined to prove him wrong, launched a relentless barrage of attacks. Yet, despite the speed and variety of his strikes, not a single one managed to connect.
"How can you say that?!" Xian grunted, keeping up the pressure even as his frustrations grew. "You're just evading everything I throw at you!"
Azure remained completely unfazed. He simply uttered a single command:
"Down."
Instantly, an invisible, crushing weight slammed into Xian, driving him downward until he was pinned flat against the earth, cratering the ground beneath him.
Azure stepped closer, looking down calmly. "That is the power of a Logic Point. It looks like the gap between our current abilities is still far too wide."
Xian gritted his teeth and tried to force himself up, but he couldn't even budge under the absolute authority of the Logic Point. Seeing that Xian could only mumble incomprehensible protests through the dirt, Azure deactivated the point. The crushing weight vanished, and Xian quickly scrambled back to his feet.
"How do you even have an ability like that? That's just cheating!" Xian complained, brushing the dirt off himself.
"It's not cheating," Azure countered smoothly. "It still has plenty of weaknesses."
Xian narrowed his eyes. "Oh yeah? Like what?"
"Fight me and find out for yourself," Azure replied with a challenging smirk.
Xian smirked back. He suddenly snapped his arm forward, pointing a finger directly at Azure's face to unleash a concentrated bolt of lightning. But the moment the electricity discharged, the trajectory instantly inverted, snapping backward and blasting Xian instead.
Smoke curled off Xian's clothes as he absorbed the shock of his own attack. Forcing himself to stand tall, he locked eyes with his opponent. "Fine. If that's how it is, I'll find it."
Azure reset his stance, signaling that the next round of training was about to begin.
"You can use your Pokémon now," he permitted as Xian readied himself.
Xian quickly ran through his options, analyzing the problem logically. *Logic Points... an ability that manipulates direction, vectors, and targets. What kind of Pokémon can counter something like that?* A sudden realization struck him. *Wait a minute... the Shadow Realm operates completely independently of standard targeting systems!*
He reached into his inventory box and pulled out a sleek Dusk Ball, pressing the release button. A burst of dark energy materialized into Gible Redux.
"Alright, Gible. I know this is technically outside of our contract," Xian pleaded, looking at the dragon-like Pokémon. "But just this once, please pull me into the Shadow Realm."
Gible Redux merely gave him a look of utter indifference, its expression clearly saying, *I don't care, our deal is already done.*
Without wasting another second, Gible melted directly into its own shadow and vanished from the arena.
Xian let out a defeated sigh. "Note to self: I seriously need to catch a Pokémon that can access the Shadow Realm on its own command someday."
Shaking off the setback, he pulled a standard Poké Ball from his inventory and hurled it into the center of the arena. The ball popped open to reveal Metagross, its metallic body gleaming as it let out a resonant, mechanical cry, instantly battle-ready.
"Alright, let's do this... This time, I am absolutely going to expose your weakness!" Xian declared, cloaking his clenched fists in crackling currents of electricity.
"In that case, let's begin," Azure replied, matching his focus.
As both combatants braced themselves, Azure called out to the system, "Aron... change the arena."
Instantly, the tranquil grassland dissolved. Jagged blocks of stone materialized out of thin air, rapidly stacking and interlocking to construct a magnificent, sprawling castle around them. Plush red carpets unrolled across the stone floors, ornate suits of knightly armor lined the corridors, and vibrant stained-glass windows crystallized along the towering walls. Behind Azure, an elegant throne manifested, topped with a glittering crown.
Without warning, Xian bit down hard on his own thumb, drawing blood. With a violent snap of his wrist, he flung his hand forward, spraying a line of crimson droplets directly toward Azure.
Anticipating the move, Azure immediately used his Logic Points to seize control of the coordinates of the airborne blood. The droplets instantly froze in mid-air, suspended like crimson beads.
"Burst!" Xian shouted the moment he saw his blood stop.
Azure turned his gaze back to the suspended droplets just as an volatile electrical reaction began to spark within them. Sensing the danger, Azure instantly teleported himself outside to the castle's outer courtyard.
An absolute, cataclysmic explosion ripped through the interior. The blast tore the castle apart from the inside out, shattering the stained-glass windows into millions of colorful shards and turning the massive stone pillars to rubble.
Xian leapt out from the roaring flames of the explosion, landing firmly on the ruined outer battlements.
"Using your own blood as a medium for an explosive trigger? That's pretty creative," Azure remarked, watching Xian stick the landing.
"Don't get ahead of yourself. This is just the warm-up," Xian replied. He reached down, picking up a sharp shard of blue stained glass from the debris, and deliberately slashed it across his right hand.
Knowing better than to let Xian set up another attack, Azure moved instantly. Activating his Logic Points, he targeted the floating debris, shattered glass, and broken stones, designating Xian as the absolute focal point. A glowing red arrow materialized directly above Xian's head as the mass of rubble locked onto his position and fired.
Xian merely glanced at the incoming barrage. The moment the debris neared him, it violently destabilized, shattering completely and getting entirely erased into raw digital information.
"Erased... I bet that's Metagross's doing," Azure deduced as his attack dissolved into nothingness. He activated his radar points, scanning the area to pinpoint the iron-legged Pokémon's presence.
In a flash, Azure teleported directly behind Xian. He pulled the shattered glass fragments into his right hand, compressing them into a razor-sharp crystalline sword, and swung it directly at Xian's neck. But just as the blade was a millimeter away from making contact, a blinding flash of light reflected off the glass. The sword instantly shattered into dust and was erased from existence.
The feedback allowed Azure to instantly pinpoint Metagross's location. "Found you."
He immediately locked Metagross into a rigid set of coordinate points. Caught in the absolute grip of the Logic Point, Metagross froze, completely unable to move.
Azure looked up toward the highest peak of the ruined castle, spotting the locked Pokémon. He extended his right index finger, aiming it like a barrel.
"Light Pulse."
Blinding energy coalesced at the tip of his finger, compressing into a dense, volatile singularity of swirling yellow and purple light. When he fired, the attack erupted into a massive, concentrated laser beam that completely obliterated everything in its path.
Metagross watched the incoming beam, frantically trying to break free, but the Logic Point held it in place. Running a rapid internal calculation, the Iron Leg Pokémon realized there were only two theoretical ways to escape a Logic Point anchor: a Psychic-type Warp, or entering the Shadow Realm. Utilizing its psychic prowess, Metagross immediately initiated a high-frequency telepathic link with Gible Redux, piercing deep into the Shadow Sea.
Deep within the abyss of the Shadow Sea, Gible Redux was swimming lazily through the pitch-black currents of the twilight zone.
"Metaaa!"
The booming psychic cry echoed through the dark waters. Gible paused, thoroughly confused as to how a voice could reach it here, before realizing it was Metagross broadcasting via telepathy.
"Gible!" Gible Redux snapped back, visibly annoyed, demanding to know why it was being disturbed.
"Meta... Gross," Metagross transmitted smoothly, conveying a simple message: *I have a proposition for you.*
"Gible?" the shark Pokémon questioned, its curiosity piqued.
"Meta... Gross!" Metagross countered, laying out the terms.
Back in the crumbling simulation arena, Metagross focused its remaining energy, generating a brilliant periwinkle light in front of its chassis to form a Flash Cannon. It unleashed the silver beam directly into Azure's incoming Light Pulse.
The moment the two titan attacks collided, a deafening shockwave tore through the entire simulated quadrant. When the blinding flash finally dissipated, Azure blinked in surprise. Metagross was gone. He whipped his head back toward Xian's previous coordinates, only to find the trainer had vanished as well.
"They're both gone," Azure muttered, mapping out the environment with his Logic Points. But the system returned an anomaly. "They aren't anywhere in the arena... they must have used Warp."
Suddenly, an intense, localized pressure triggered directly above Azure's head.
Before his Logic Points could fully process the threat, the system flagged a compound signature: it was Xian's blood.
*Boom!*
The hidden blood charge detonated point-blank against Azure's head, shattering the avatar's matrix. Azure collapsed to the ground as the simulation forcibly reset itself to a standard, blank grid room.
A dark portal tore open in the center of the room, and Xian stepped out from the Shadow Realm, with Gible Redux trailing close behind.
Azure's avatar reconstituted itself, and as he pushed himself back up, his eyes widened at the sight of the dragon Pokémon. "Wait a minute... how did you convince him to come back? Didn't he just walk out on you?"
Xian grinned, stretching his arms. "To be honest, I didn't think it would work either. I have Metagross to thank for that one." He glanced proudly at his massive Steel-type partner.
Azure stretched his neck, genuinely intrigued. "Alright, I'll bite. How exactly did a Metagross manage to negotiate with a Gible Redux?"
"Simple negotiation. What else did you expect?" Metagross responded smoothly via telepathy, its voice echoing in their minds.
"Yeah, but what kind of negotiation actually works on him?" Xian asked, pointing a finger at Gible Redux, who had casually perched itself on top of Metagross's metallic head.
"I simply promised to provide him with the exact coordinates of his new Mega Evolution location if he agreed to assist us," Metagross explained telepathically.
Xian stared at his Pokémon, dumbfounded. "Seriously? That actually worked? But even if he knows where it is right now, it's not like he can actually use it yet."
Azure stood up fully, a sharp, competitive smile spreading across his face. "You know, it feels a bit unfair that you get to use your Pokémon while I'm fighting bare-handed."
He glanced over at Gible Redux as a sleek, black Luxury Ball materialized out of thin air into his right palm. "Let's make this a fair fight." He leveled his index finger at them.
Xian smiled confidently, matching the energy. "Fine by me! Let's go another round. You're still backing me up, right Gible?" He looked up.
With an eager cry, Gible hopped off Metagross and landed squarely on top of Xian's head. "Gible!" it chirped enthusiastically.
Up in the observation deck, Aron was reviewing the data logs, completely fascinated by the results of the clash.
"Xian can actually convert his own body into a medium for his offensive capabilities. He can literally program his own blood to function as an explosive device," Aron murmured to himself, replaying the footage of the castle blast. He then pulled up Azure's combat metrics. "And I had no idea Logic Points could be condensed to fire a concentrated energy beam like that."
He ran a deeper structural diagnostic on Azure's Light Pulse, but when the breakdown appeared on his screen, he froze in confusion.
"Wait, what? Why is the attack categorized as a Physical type?"
He manually rewatched the frame-by-frame rendering of the attack until the underlying mechanics became clear, prompting the computer to output a new analytical log:
[ System Note: Logic Points possess the capacity to absolute-concentrate raw energy, environmental particles, localized mass, and even photons into a tangible, physical state. ]
Aron let out a low whistle. "No wonder it wasn't classified as a Special-type attack. It literally creates a physical construct out of light."
Down in the chamber, the system hummed as the next round initialized.
"Let's try an Ocean Arena this time," Azure decided, tapping a holographic control panel that materialized beside him.
The sterile white walls dissolved instantly, replaced by a massive expanse of deep blue ocean. Xian and Azure found themselves standing on two separate, jagged coral reefs separated by a wide stretch of open water.
Metagross and Gible immediately took up defensive positions around Xian. Seeing this, Azure casually tossed his Luxury Ball into the water between them.
The ocean surged violently. Rising up from the depths was a colossal, ancient, barnacle-encrusted pirate ship. The moment the vessel broke the surface, Xian's jaw dropped. He recognized it instantly: the Dreadnought.
The Dreadnought slowly opened its spectral eyes as massive, glowing root systems began to unfurl from its hull. Within seconds, a small armada of Dhelmise and Plundertow materialized around the flagship, filling the waters.
Xian, Metagross, and Gible all wore identical, completely deadpan expressions.
Gible Redux looked at the massive ghostly fleet, let out a flat, "Gible," and immediately turned around, as if to say, *Nope, I'm out.*
Xian let out an irritated groan, throwing his hands up in the air. "How is any of this fair?! You basically just brought an entire army to a sparring match!"
Azure merely smirked, the wind from the simulated ocean catching his jacket. "That is the true purpose of an *Aspect*." He locked eyes with Xian, pointing directly at him. "I'm getting serious this time. So you better bring out your Pokémon's Aspects too!"
