"I need everything on this woman," Isla said, laying out the documents Natasha had provided. "Real name. Where she's been for five years. Who's funding her. What she actually wants. Everything."
"And if she's really Natasha?" Marcus asked carefully.
"Then we prove Killian believed she was dead when he married me. We establish good faith. We protect Sera's legitimacy. We—" Isla's voice hardened. "We make this go away. Legally. Permanently."
"That could take months."
"We don't have months. She's already filing paperwork. Already making claims. We have weeks. Maybe days. Before she goes public. Before this becomes a legal nightmare that destroys everything."
