Chapter 5 - Konoha Ninjas' Bottom Line

Hiromi looked at Shisui and asked, "Shisui, don't you want to be the clan head?"

Shisui was slightly taken aback. A few seconds later, he smiled slightly, rubbed Hiromi's head, and said nothing.

Seeing this, Hiromi stopped talking about it. In fact, he also knew that Shisui was not suitable to be the clan head. After all, he was still being manipulated by Hiruzen.

However, at least after his eye was gouged out by Danzo, he didn't go to Hiruzen, which showed he wasn't too stupid.

Plus, his Mangekyo's technique was the strongest genjutsu that could change the will of others—Kotoamatsukami.

In this situation, if he served as the clan head, the Konoha High Command would absolutely not dare to be hostile toward him, nor would they dare to target the Uchiha clan so recklessly.

Even if Danzo wanted to strike first, Hiruzen would stop him because the impact of such an event would be too great. After all, if they fought to the death, Konoha would become weak, and then it would be all over.

Unfortunately, the current Shisui still pinned his hopes on Hiruzen.

"Tsk."

As usual, Hiromi went to the back mountain to train after eating.

The main purpose of doing this was to endure pain. He didn't want to die because of a mistake caused by too much pain during a fight. Such a way of dying would be too pathetic.

Moreover, training could enhance physical strength and body flexibility. It was a way to kill two birds with one stone, and for the sake of the future, Hiromi was very happy to do it.

However, his schedule changed a bit today. He wanted to see how much the rewards would increase by drawing aggro.

He hadn't tried it during these three years, mainly for four reasons.

First, he was Shisui's younger brother.

Second, he hadn't left the Uchiha Clan Compound.

Third, even if the Mangekyo wasn't revealed, it would still emit a faint sense of pressure.

Fourth, the system was too violent.

Regarding the first three reasons, some Uchiha brats still came to provoke him, but the system would immediately ask him to kill those brats.

It was impossible for him to actually kill them just to complete a system mission. If he killed them, even if he was Shisui's brother, he would be killed by the clan members. Therefore, he had been delaying it until now.

Today was the first time Hiromi stepped out of the Uchiha Clan Compound.

Since he didn't wear clothes with the Uchiha clan crest, only the Anbu monitoring from the shadows knew his identity as an Uchiha. However, their surveillance of a child was just a casual glance. The focus was still on Fugaku, Shisui, Yashiro, and others.

On the street, Hiromi saw many people with smiles full of expectation on their faces. They were very supportive of the peace treaty, and their praise for Hiruzen even led them to call him the "Strongest Hokage."

[Mission Name: You're the Strongest Hokage?]

[Mission Content: Kill Sarutobi Hiruzen!]

[Mission Reward: Sage Body + Hydrification Technique + Orochimaru Style Substitution Jutsu]

The system perfectly reflected Hiromi's disdain for Hiruzen. It was just that he couldn't manage to kill Hiruzen yet.

Although his Mangekyo ability was very strong and purely added to his combat power, currently, at most, he could only trade his life for Hiruzen's. For him, this was not a good deal.

...

In front of the Envoy Hotel.

Nara Shikaku, the Jonin Commander, was followed by several Chunin. Beside him, the Kumogakure Emissary Leader was followed by several accompanying envoys.

Both sides had similar auras, but the Kumogakure Emissary Leader's expression was so stern and even impatient that every time Shikaku spoke, it seemed as if he were trying to please him.

As both sides were leaving, a Chunin behind Shikaku couldn't help but speak up, "Commander, I don't think Kumogakure has any intention of signing the peace treaty."

Others also couldn't hold back their frustration and spoke up one after another.

"Exactly. This is not how you come to sign a peace treaty."

"If someone didn't know better, they'd think our Konoha was their subordinate."

"Did they come to Konoha to act like grandmasters?"

Shikaku glanced at their "nearly dying of anger" expressions and smiled slightly.

But a few seconds later, hearing them still complaining, his expression turned cold.

"Alright, a few complaints are enough. Don't let them hear you, it might affect the signing of the treaty."

As soon as he said this, the Chunins' expressions immediately tightened.

"Yes, sir."

At that moment, a voice came from behind them.

"Uncle, could you please tell me how to get to the Hyuga clan?"

It was the voice of a young boy of a few years old, very tender.

"Get lost!"

This was the voice of another envoy in the Kumogakure Envoy Delegation.

"Ouch!"

Amidst the young boy's cry of pain, there was also the splat of liquid hitting clothes.

"Bastard! Are you looking for death!" This was the voice of the Kumogakure Emissary Leader.

Shikaku turned to look and saw a young boy pushed to the ground, the takoyaki box in his hand now empty of takoyaki.

Looking at the Kumogakure Emissary Leader's clothes, several takoyaki covered in thick sauce were slowly falling off.

The Kumogakure Envoy Delegation stepped forward and surrounded the little boy.

"Damn Kumogakure!"

Shikaku's subordinates were about to rush forward, but he stopped them.

"Commander?" His subordinates were puzzled.

"Don't be impulsive. If we go up now, it will give them an opportunity. Besides, this is Konoha. Do they dare to touch a child of our Konoha?"

Shikaku's tone was very gentle, yet it gave off a dangerous feeling, making his subordinates' bodies tremble and their hearts feel uneasy, not daring to look him in the eye.

Coincidentally, as they lowered their heads, they saw the shadow beneath Shikaku swaying slightly.

Subordinates: "..."

Commander, you're so devious! I love it!

Then, they walked slightly toward Shikaku, huddling together and overlapping their shadows with Shikaku's, as if they could turn into a huge, terrifying shadow monster at any moment.

Meanwhile, the Kumogakure Emissary Leader's face was very ugly.

The surrounding onlookers no longer had that expectant, even somewhat pleasing smile from before. Most of them had expressions of pity and began to shout rebukes.

"What is this child running around for? Come here quickly!"

"He must be lost. Child, come here quickly!"

"Quick, just apologize to the Kumogakure Envoy and it'll be fine."

The remaining few slightly bent their legs and bodies, their hands resting on the ninja tool pouches at their waists, ready to strike.

Although they were looking forward to the end of the war, if a child in Konoha was bullied by Kumogakure in front of them, then no matter how weak Konoha was, they would continue to fight.

This was their bottom line that even the Hokage could not violate.

And for the Kumogakure emissaries, none of this was the most important thing.

The most important thing was the group of people around Shikaku standing on the other side. The shadow they formed together gave him a great sense of threat.

'They actually didn't come forward.'

He had wanted to use the situation as a pretext, but he didn't expect Shikaku to checkmate him directly.

"Humph!"

He could only glare at Hiromi, then turned to enter the Envoy Hotel.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
