As the Thunderhawk lands and opens the ramp, the group walks off and is immediately welcomed by the overwhelming sound of people crying mixing in with the sounds of engines and troops marching and giving orders.
A guardsman walks up to Ryuu and salutes. (Your majesty, the evacuation is proceeding on schedule and the number of zombies in the city is decreasing at a rate that we did not anticipate.)
Ryuu nods and walks Rei and the group to his personal building. It was constructed for him by the Magos, even though he didn't really want one.
As they enter the building the group is stunned by how luxurious it looks.
The floors are marble with gold inlaid aquilas and his personal crest. The windows are covered with drapes made of silk with fine fibers of gold stitched into the corners and edges. The building itself stands at an impressive ten stories above ground with an elevator that go's all the way to the top as well as to the original underground FOB.
There are guards standing at attention every ten feet heading towards the elevator. There are pillars that run up toward the ceiling that are made of marble and inlaid with gold, plasteal and jewels.
The group enters the elevator and rises to the top floor where Ryuu's parents and the company commander are waiting.
The group gets off the elevator and walks to the only door that stands before them not but ten feet away.
They enter and are greeted by Ryuu's parents and the commander.
(Commander, how goes the preparations for the next step of the operation?) Ryuu asks Commander Janus
(We are ready your majesty) Janus replies as he bows slightly. Ryuu's parents press a button on the table, when they do a holographic map pops up and shows the city and the FOB.
Ryuu walks up to the table and waves his hand as the image zooms in on the city. You can see small models of troops and aircraft. The troops are showing shooting their Las rifles and saving people. While the aircraft are providing support and taking those saved away from the area.
Ryuu presses a button and stats pop up showing troop deployments, citizens saved and zombies both still around and killed.
The number of killed zombies were promising but it was not enough. There was just too many for the amount of troops Ryuu had at his disposal as well as he could produce without it taking a significant amount of time. Time he both did and did not have.
Ryuu looked around the people that where in the room. Then he sat at a heavily ornate chair that he most definitely didn't want. He nodded and his parents, Rei and commander Janus took their seats.
The rest of the group still stood. They looked around and then their eyes landed on Ryuu. The silence was stifling.
Then Ryuu nodded his head and his mother stood, and the meeting began.
The meeting took hours, but the original plan was discussed and even expanded upon. The group from the original anime and manga other than Rei finally understood what happened to the world and what power saved them.
They saw the boy, no man who held this power in his hands like it was nothing but an insignificant stick that you could find anywhere on the ground outside.
The boys of the group where both awed and terrified, this man could do whatever he wants. No one could stop him in this new world, and he held all the power. The military, the law, the food and even all the other things needed for a proper civilization to either start or to continue.
The girls on the other hand where awed. They looked at him as if he was a king, nay an emperor who would rule the world. In a way, they were right.
In this new and dark world, he was the light and sometime in the future he would be a new god that humanity would worship. They would worship him for all the things he has done and will do, even though he never wanted to be worshiped just like the emperor he loved in his past life.
