It grabbed a Chitauri Soldier in each hand and slammed the two soldiers together in the middle like someone clashing cymbals.

With the sound of shattering bone and flesh, the two Chitauri were instantly flattened into a bloody pulp.
On the other side, Perona certainly wasn't the only one wanting to pull away to help Annie.
Lux was equally anxious, but she was held back by the enemy in front of her; Thor, controlled by the Mind Stone, was incredibly tanky. Lux had bombarded him with all sorts of magic for a long time, but instead of waking the God of Thunder, she found herself in a bitter struggle.

To his surprise, upon being held, the axe of angaruumus directly let out a huff of air.
The entire axe shuddered and actually came to life.
It broke free from his palm, turned itself around in mid-air, and chopped toward Thor's forehead!
Thor was startled and quickly swung Mjolnir, engaging in a clash of moves with this artifact that seemed to possess its own intelligence.
Taking advantage of the moment Thor was preoccupied with the axe, the wand in Lux's palm began to spin at high speed.
Majestic light elements gathered toward her like a tide; the overflowing energy even caused her entire body to float, and her eyes lit up with a pure, incandescent white light. Compared to the fool across from her who was struggling with an axe, Lux at this moment radiated a holiness and divinity that one dared not look at directly.
Anyone unaware of the situation would likely mistake her for a true deity descending upon the world.
