Luxury brands, fashion magazines, and celebrity models are an interdependent triangle: you need me, and I need you!
Inside the huge white tent set up in Bryant Park, Midtown Manhattan, designers from all over the world brought their works to showcase ready-to-wear effects through models.
Charles Capet and Delphine Arnault sat together by the T-stage, enjoying the runway shows of various brands' models.
"I'm going back to Los Angeles tonight. When are you returning to France?" Charles had stayed in New York long enough; it was time to go back.
Delphine Arnault paused, then smiled and asked, "Were these past few days boring? Didn't you meet many beautiful female models?"
Charles not only met some female models but also met with executives from fashion media publishing groups like Condé Nast and Hearst Corporation.
For example, Condé Nast owns magazines and periodicals such as Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Vogue, and GQ.
Hearst Corporation owns fashion magazines like Cosmopolitan, Esquire, and Elle.
"Don't you know I have a movie, brokeback mountain, about to be released?" Charles retorted.
"Oh, I know. No wonder so many reporters want to interview you now. brokeback mountain is said to be a film with a homosexual theme. Why is the reaction so strong here in America?" Delphine Arnault had seen films with much greater scale when she was in France.
"Haha, many conservative Americans find it hard to accept new things!"
"Perhaps, that's also why the French entertainment industry always looks down on Hollywood. The commercialism of the films is too strong; there's no artistry!" Delphine didn't forget to complain about Hollywood films.
"It seems France is very free!"
"It is indeed very free; there's a strike in Paris every few days," Delphine said helplessly.
"That's workers fighting for their rights. I think France should increase the introduction of African people; they can take on many unpopular jobs in France," Charles suggested earnestly.
Delphine looked at Charles, "Aren't there enough black people in France already? Paris is almost turning black!"
"Really? I thought France was a country built by black people after World War II!"
Delphine Arnault was speechless. The number of African immigrants and undocumented migrants in France is now unknown to anyone.
France is now inseparable from them. Not only are they numerous and hold many votes, but they also undertake a series of low-level jobs such as sewer cleaning, moving, and garbage disposal.
Without a large number of black people, would the proud French people do these jobs?
"After the fashion week closing ceremony, I'm flying directly to Paris. When will you go to Paris again?" Delphine changed the subject.
"Next year, perhaps. I have a movie that should be filmed in Paris," Charles was, of course, referring to the da vinci code.
"That actress who was with you last time? Marion Cotillard, is she the female lead?"
Charles nodded and reminded her, "It's a thrilling suspense film about religion, adapted from the bestselling novel the da vinci code."
"Oh, aren't there any urban films about fashion?" Delphine thought for a moment, "Like that urban drama Desperate Housewives that's about to air in America?"
"Yes, I'll be preparing one next year. LV just needs to get its advertising budget ready. Women's fashion brands will appear extensively in the film!" the devil wears prada was already a planned project, and Anne Hathaway had already been met.
Youthful and beautiful, with a pretty face and graceful figure, she is indeed a good clothes hanger!
"LV, Givenchy, Fendi, Dior, etc., whether it's women's clothing, bags, watches, or jewelry, cosmetics, we have everything," Delphine was very confident about this.
Charles smiled, "My movies haven't failed yet, do you understand what I mean?"
"Don't worry, Charles Capet's reputation, we know it. mr. & mrs. smith had many big-name sponsorships. What genre is the new movie?"
"Read a currently popular novel called the devil wears prada. I bought the film adaptation rights from the author last year, a film of the same name!" Charles didn't keep her in suspense.
"Of course, the title can be changed to The monster in LV, the queen in lv, The Queen in Givenchy, and so on, all are acceptable!"
Delphine Arnault smiled. He was indeed Hollywood's most profitable young producer; his ability to develop commercial films was truly impressive.
When Charles returned to Los Angeles from New York, a disturbance also occurred in Los Angeles.
Sharon Waxman, a female reporter from The New York Times' Los Angeles entertainment editorial department, suddenly received calls at home from Hollywood stars Matt Damon and Russell Crowe, respectively.
"Ms. Waxman, Mr. Harvey Weinstein is a respected filmmaker. I hope you don't randomly edit news and cause an excellent filmmaker to be treated unfairly!"
"Ms. Waxman, you cannot arbitrarily fabricate facts to slander Mr. Harvey Weinstein, or you will lose many opportunities."
Sitting on her sofa at home, Sharon Waxman knew that the investigative news about Harvey Weinstein she had submitted a few days ago after returning from Italy had been discovered by him.
