There are many Chinese people in Los Angeles's Chinatown, but the largest Chinatown on the West Coast is in San Francisco.
The largest Chinatown in the entire Western Hemisphere is in Manhattan, New York, but compared to the entire state of California, the number of immigrants is three times that of New York State.
The main area where Chinese people are concentrated is also California, after all, having traveled across the ocean from the East, the first stop is basically San Francisco Port on the West Coast.
In late November, the temperature in Los Angeles also dropped significantly at night, heading west from Chinatown.
"This is Koreatown, where the '92 riots happened, right?" Charles suddenly asked as they passed through Koreatown.
Camille nodded, "That's right, it was quite serious, comparable to the African American riots in the Watts district in '65."
"The African American concentrated area in South Los Angeles?" Charles was not aware of this.
"Yes, my parents live in the Lynwood area, not far from the Watts district. Before '92, it was the biggest urban riot!"
Charles chuckled, "From your tone, you don't like those African Americans?"
"Charles, aren't you the same?" Camille blinked in response.
"A bunch of things with mosaics in their heads!"
Charles shook his head. America is such a bizarre country.
When the car drove to Hancock Park, there were police cars parked and police officers standing on the road ahead.
"Officer, what happened ahead?" Charles rolled down the car window and asked.
"There was a crash ahead. Two African Americans robbed a minivan, crashed while fleeing, and several people were injured at the scene! If you want to pass, it's best to take another road!"
Charles poked his head out and saw many car parts on the road, and three people lying on the ground.
"Thanks," Charles prepared to change his route, he could just go through Hancock Park via Beverly Boulevard.
They arrived at the Hollywood Hilton Garden Inn along North Highland Avenue, and Charles embraced Camille as they entered the room.
In the hotel room, Charles stood by the window, as if he had thought of something. Someone had just been robbed, and then crashed while escaping.
The racially themed movie "crash," why hadn't he heard any information about this movie?
"Charles," Camille, who had just come out of the shower, hugged Charles from behind, "What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing," Charles turned around. Camille's perfect figure was outlined by her sexy silk nightgown, and her golden short hair gave her a different feeling.
He lowered his head and kissed the Lady's neck a few times, then hugged Camille from behind and whispered, "My dear, you don't know how alluring you are right now!"
"Charles, is it time to check my homework?" Camille turned around, her eyes alluring.
"Indeed, it's time to check your homework," Charles smiled, patted Camille on the head, and then gestured with his eyes.
Camille, of course, understood, and slowly knelt down.
The next day, Charles dropped Camille back at USC, but the university was also about to have its winter break.
"Remember to find me to check your homework later!" Camille reminded Charles with a kiss goodbye before getting out of the car.
Charles smiled and waved.
"wedding crashers" is directed by David Dobkin, with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as the two male leads, and Scarlett Johansson and Isla Fisher as the prospective main cast members.
Scarlett Johansson currently shoots four or five movies a year, including both lead and supporting roles. Only "lost in translation" and "girl with a pearl earring" had an impact last year and this year.
Most of them are independent films with low budgets. Currently, Scarlett Johansson has received an invitation from the renowned art-house director Woody Allen to play a role.
At the same time, Capet Pictures' "wedding crashers" also extended an invitation. Both are for the female lead, and the shooting schedules clashed.
Evelyn Capet could only let Scarlett Johansson decide which one to accept herself.
Scarlett Johansson went directly to Charles's office at Capet Pictures in Burbank.
"Scarlett, what's wrong? You have time to come here today?" Charles poured two glasses of wine and handed her one.
"girl with a pearl earring" seems to have a good reputation, similar to "lost in translation"!" This "girl with a pearl earring" was released in September this year.
Scarlett Johansson took a sip and said with some helplessness, "The box office isn't high, it can't compare to 'lost in translation' at all."
Charles sat down next to her and chuckled, "But you're the female lead! Your role in this movie is much more significant than in 'lost in translation'!"
"Charles, I currently have two scripts. One is your 'wedding crashers,' and the other is 'match point' by the great director Woody Allen. I'm the female lead in both movies, but unfortunately, they clash!" Scarlett was a bit troubled.
"Woody Allen, 'match point'!" Charles knew about this movie. Woody Allen has talent, but the art-house director circle is even more chaotic. After all, compared to commercial films which are primarily profit-driven, messing around could harm the interests of capital, which is hard to bear.
"'wedding crashers' is a commercial film, with not much artistic pursuit, an R-rated romantic comedy. As for Woody Allen, he has directorial ability, and many of his films have received good reviews, in the art-house category. It depends on your own thoughts," Charles didn't want to say too much. If she wanted to continue to delve into art-house films, then he would definitely have to find someone else.
Scarlett Johansson, of course, knew this. After all, it was clear from the two scripts that Woody Allen's script was a drama, with room for her to perform.
Charles's script was a pure commercial romantic comedy.
