Recalling their past, Ellen and Bastian laughed awkwardly, as their first meeting was incredibly awkward, especially at the most inappropriate time. Bastian felt ashamed of himself for being unable to do anything just because his college friends teased him. Now he had proven to Ellen that he was a great man. This was all thanks to Ellen's motivational words. Even now, he still finds it hard to forget their rare first meeting.
"Bastian, I really didn't realize it was you. It turns out you've really changed now," Ellen said with a sweet smile.
Bastian scratched his head and lowered his head in shame. "I must have looked embarrassed to you back then."
"No. I think it's a perfectly normal human thing to do. Because everyone experiences failure at some point in their life." Ellen looked at her best friend with a beaming gaze. "Just like I experienced failure when I was involved in a scandal."
"But, that's because you were framed. You were the victim in that case."
