Ellen and Flint exchanged mischievous smiles. Ellen hadn't expected Flint to be closely monitoring her while she was on a secret mission at the restaurant. She'd done her best to avoid being caught. However, Flint was always sensitive to her in any situation. Harley, on the other hand, was oblivious to her. Whether she was acting or being serious, Harley always equated the two situations.
"Flint, are you mad because I followed you like a stalker?"
"I'm not angry. I'm just curious about you. Why did you suddenly follow me when I told you to go straight home? It turns out this was all Alfonso's fault for not being able to keep his mouth shut."
"Maybe you saw me almost tripping earlier because my scarf was covering my eyes." Her head hung low. "I'm so embarrassed to face you now. I shouldn't have acted so foolishly."
