CHAPTER 081
ECLIPSE
"You know…" Eclipse started, voice devoid of emotion and face blank, "for a second I contemplated sparing you for what is to come."
Anna's confused face filled her vision.
"What is to come?" She repeated the question, foreboding fear swallowing the air between them.
"From this." She deadpanned, and then tugged at a rope mechanism she had planted in their carriage.
The wheels creaked on the bridge, the sound a methodical horror.
Then the carriage flew from the ground, shattering against the rail of the bridge, then fell off the rails, diving for the White Waters.
Anna's face, staring at her in dramatic horror, was the last thing she saw as they flew down airborne to the foreboding distance of the White Waters, before their bodies crashed into the lake.
The cold was instantaneous. And the chill was brutal. A cold reminder of while the white waters was named as such.
