The next morning, Luna woke up.
She had slept well the night before.
However, as soon as she opened her eyes, she felt that something was wrong.
Her feet were bare.
There was nothing on them.
That beautiful pair of shoes had disappeared again.
"We didn't see them. How would we know?"
The other girls in her dormitory had already left, leaving only Luna behind.
So Luna went to the classroom to find them, asking where the shoes had gone.
"Didn't see them."
"Don't know."
"Never saw them."
The three girls from the same dormitory said in unison that they had not seen anything.
But even an idiot would know this had something to do with them.
After all, it was not as if Hogwarts had suddenly gained a great thief who stole shoes, and specifically only Luna's, right?
"There's no way you don't know. Last night, when I came back, they were still there."
This time, Luna did not choose to give in.
She stepped forward and firmly grabbed the sleeve of one of the girls, demanding that she return the shoes.
This time was different from before.
The shoes were not hers.
They were something she needed to return.
People were not machines.
There was no way to stay calm at every moment.
"So you're saying we stole your shoes? We're not that bored, you crazy, weird girl."
"Let me go!"
The young witch seemed not to have expected that Luna would actually dare to act.
With her sleeve held tightly, for a moment, she could not break free.
The other girls in the dormitory saw the situation and immediately moved closer, clearly siding against Luna.
As for the other Ravenclaws, all of them looked as if they were watching a good show.
This was Ravenclaw.
As the self-proclaimed "wise ones" of Hogwarts, they were not impulsive and reckless like Gryffindor.
Nor did they unite as firmly as Hufflepuff.
Much less did they weigh benefits, losses, and honor above all else like Slytherin.
When something happened, most of them chose to watch from a distance and only act when the timing seemed right.
Even when students from other Houses came knocking at their door, it was still the same.
To sum it up in one phrase...
Every man for himself, scattered like loose sand.
Or perhaps they were simply half a beat too slow to react.
Two fists couldn't beat four hands.
Besides, Luna had never trained.
Naturally, her strength could not compare to that of three witches.
Soon, she was pressed down onto the floor by the three of them.
"Crazy! Crazy and weird, just like your dead mother! Neurotic!"
Looking at Luna, who was pinned to the floor, the young witch whose sleeve had been grabbed began cursing at her like a madwoman.
All kinds of filthy insults kept pouring from her mouth.
However, even then, Luna still held tightly onto her sleeve.
"Let go!"
She screamed loudly.
A mere Luna Lovegood dared to resist her?
"My father said The Quibbler is something written by lunatics for lunatics to read."
The two other witches from the same dormitory also helped attack her with words.
Although The Quibbler was a magazine with fairly decent sales, most people only treated its contents as a joke.
For example, The Quibbler had once written that Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge commanded an army made up of fire sprites.
Please.
How could that be possible?!
Fudge did not even have the ability for that.
In the eyes of many powerful wizards, the name Fudge was synonymous with mediocrity.
Of course, that was also his own fault.
In the beginning, when Fudge had just taken office, he had not had a single opinion of his own.
He only agreed with Dumbledore.
Even though he now showed a strong tendency to break away from Dumbledore's influence, the fixed impression had already been formed.
"Give back the shoes!"
Luna turned a deaf ear to them.
Her attitude remained firm.
That was her conviction.
If she borrowed something from someone, she had to return it.
That attitude completely enraged the young witch whose sleeve Luna was holding.
Humiliating her in front of so many people was simply an unforgivable crime.
The anger in her heart exploded completely.
"I said, let me go!"
She grabbed Luna's hair hard and started pulling.
Even so, she still could not make Luna let go.
Then she saw the desk beside them.
Without thinking, she pulled Luna by the hair and tried to slam her head into the corner of the desk.
It was the sharpest part of the tabletop.
The force she used, no matter how you looked at it, was clearly meant to do serious harm.
Luna closed her eyes in fear.
Even at that moment, she still did not think she had done anything wrong.
A spell struck the girl attacking her.
A clear female voice rang out.
"Ravenclaws, attacking someone in public. What do you think you're doing?"
The hand holding Luna's hair loosened.
The three witches were also knocked to the side.
Three figures appeared before the Ravenclaw students.
The disciplinary group was present.
"Are you all right?"
Hermione helped Luna up and patted the dust from her clothes.
"What are you trying to do? Didn't you see that this lunatic attacked us first?"
The three got up from the floor.
Originally, they had intended to teach whoever had dared to ambush them a lesson.
But when they clearly saw who had arrived, they stopped moving.
Granger, Weasley, and Longbottom.
Members of the disciplinary group.
Fighting them definitely would not work.
"Miss Audrina, I don't think you should call your classmate a lunatic."
"Besides, we're not blind. We can tell right from wrong."
Neville spoke in his muffled voice.
Combined with his increasingly sturdy build, it made the three girls step back at the same time.
Audrina's eyes shifted, and she immediately said,
"Is the disciplinary group so untouchable now? You can attack people whenever you want? Everyone saw it, didn't they? They were the ones who cast spells at us!"
As a Ravenclaw, she was a little smarter than the others.
The first thing she thought was not, "just charge in," but to twist right and wrong around and use public opinion.
The crowd grew larger and larger, no longer limited to Ravenclaw.
Students from other Houses and other years also came.
It was still the same old issue.
Not everyone at Hogwarts accepted the disciplinary group's authority.
In the end, they were nothing more than a group of second-year students.
Most importantly, Dursley and Potter were not there.
Not even that Malfoy from Slytherin was there.
With only Granger in charge, even adding Weasley and Longbottom, what was there to fear?
Without Potter, Malfoy, and Dursley, they were nothing.
Answering questions?
Ravenclaw knew how to do that too.
They simply did not like attracting attention.
If that thought reached Slytherin's ears, they would probably laugh until their teeth fell out.
In their hearts, Granger was absolutely on the same level as Potter and Dursley.
"I think we should first clearly understand what happened... Miss Audrina."
Hermione spoke in a calm, unhurried tone.
Her voice was not loud, but it reached every student present with perfect clarity.
That technique was very similar to the one Dumbledore displayed during banquets.
It immediately held that restless group of students in check.
A rather advanced spellcasting technique.
Dudley had told her that, when necessary, she needed to show her strength.
Ideally, she had to intimidate the entire room.
Only then could she seize control of the conversation.
Seeing that her goal had been achieved, Hermione turned to Luna.
"Then, Miss Lovegood, tell us why all this happened."
With Luna's explanation, the students present finally understood what had happened.
Shoes disappearing several times in a row.
No wonder the disciplinary group had appeared.
Mr. Dursley had said they specifically dealt with injustices at Hogwarts.
Audrina did not panic in the slightest and immediately sneered.
"We're not that bored. Who would hide her shoes for no reason? How do you know she didn't lose them herself?"
"Where's the proof?"
'As expected... it was exactly as she predicted.'
Ron was shaken when he heard that.
Audrina's words were exactly the same as what Hermione had said the day before.
"Girls, I can give you one chance."
Hermione had already expected the other girl to say that.
She imitated Dudley's usual posture and calmly swept her gaze over the three girls led by Audrina.
"If you confess now, there's still time."
