Jujutsu High.

Naoya parked his car and got out.

Walking on the road surrounded by lush forests, he arrived before some ancient-looking Japanese buildings.

'It looks better in person,' Naoya thought as he stepped onto the stone floor of Jujutsu High School.

And there was someone waiting for him right ahead.

Satori, standing with another girl, waved at him to come closer.

Naoya arrived beside them and greeted Satori.

"Yo, good morning."

"Good morning! Good morning!"

Satori casually waved her hand, then pointed at him and said to the girl beside her,

"Look, this is Naoya Zenin..."

As she was introducing him, Naoya's eyes landed on the unknown girl, and he frowned in confusion.

'Was there a character like this in JJK?...'

She had distinct purple eyes and long black hair flowing down to her waist. She wore a black dress on top and a black skirt that reached her hips, along with long black socks that almost reached her knees.

The more he looked at her, the more confused he became.

'Why does she seem familiar?'

As he was looking at her, the girl was also glancing at and observing him with calm eyes.

Seeing Satori talking nonstop to the girl, Naoya suddenly interjected.

".... although he doesn't look like it, he's pretty strong and also a good guy—"

"Ahem, Satori!"

"-?"

"How about you introduce your friend to me?"

"Ah! Of course. This is our classmate, another first-year student. Her name is...."

"Suguri Geto!"

"....."

"Hey! Why are you making a face like that??"

Satori exclaimed while pointing at Naoya, who was staring at Suguri with his mouth agape, looking stupid.

Satori quickly moved her hand and closed his mouth while putting an arm around the confused Suguri's shoulders.

"Stop doing that! You'll creep her out!"

What the hell am I supposed to do?? The plot twists just keep coming out of nowhere!!

Rubbing his forehead, Naoya looked at Suguri and asked in a strained voice,

"Can you tell me your curse technique?...."

Suguri stayed silent for a moment before saying,

"Tell me your technique first."

Damn, was he not famous?

"Ten Shadows Technique. I can summon shikigami to fight for me."

"Now, can you answer?"

"I can control cursed spirits," Suguri replied in a plain tone.

Ah shit, that confirms it.

Suguru Geto became Suguri Geto.

Naoya released an internal sigh, then quickly calmed down.

Gojo becoming a woman was still more shocking to him than Geto.

As his internal monologue continued, Satori tilted her head before saying,

"Aren't both of you similar in a way? It's like two summoners from a game, heh...."

As she was speaking, they saw another girl casually walking up to them, smoking a cigarette.

"New students? I'm Shoko Ieiri, your classmate."

"Oh?! Another first-year!" Satori came closer and looked straight at her with shining eyes.

Shoko furrowed her brows at the sudden close proximity.

Shoko Ieiri.

Doctor of Jujutsu High and, in the future, the only survivor of Gojo's batch of classmates.

Naoya was about to greet her when a sudden heavy voice entered their ears.

"Why are you all just standing there? Your class is about to start."

The four of them simultaneously turned their heads toward the voice.

It was a tough-looking man with short hair and a mean-looking face.

He held a board and some books in his hand.

"I am your teacher, Masamichi Yaga."

He looked at the four of them with furrowed brows and said,

"Let's go. Class, it's time to start."

"He's a lot calmer than he was in the series," Naoya thought.

Turning his head, he saw Satori whispering to him,

"Last one to reach class loses."

Then, without warning, she reinforced herself and ran at an incredible pace.

Wait, that's unfair.

Naoya complained in his mind as he pushed force into his legs and chased after her.

Left behind, Shoko and Suguri simultaneously looked at each other.

"Well, aren't those two close?"

"Yes."

Inside the classroom.

Naoya sat with black lines on his forehead.

"I won! Hahaha," Satori laughed at him, sitting on his right.

Naoya retorted in annoyance.

"You blocked the class door with Infinity. Have some shame!"

"All I hear are cries of the loser," Satori said with a straight face.

As they were bickering, Suguri and Shoko looked over in curiosity.

At the same time, Masamichi Yaga, their teacher, slammed the notebook on the wooden table, making a loud sound.

"Quiet, you two!"

"Ah, sorry, sorry...." Satori waved her hand, then sat straight, staring at the board.

Naoya gave her a side look, then also focused on the board.

And to his shock, Masamichi was actually teaching them normal school subjects instead of knowledge related to curse energy.

This made Naoya almost wonder if he had entered the wrong place.

Mr. Masamichi!

We're a sorcerers' school!

Why are you teaching us mathematics??

His doubt was answered the very next moment.

"At Jujutsu High, we give major importance to learning jujutsu, but at the same time, we also teach the general subjects from the normal school curriculum to prevent any dumb sorcerers from appearing...."

The last part was more sarcasm, but it was true for the rest.

Since it was pretty much impossible for him to fail at this school, Naoya took a more casual approach and silently gazed out of the window.

In no time, the general studies were done, and Masamichi started teaching about jujutsu.

This time, everyone, including Naoya, paid greater attention.

"Negative emotions such as—"

'Hate, fear, anger, and grief are the foundation of curse energy.... he's teaching from the basics, huh?'

Fortunately, it was only a basic introduction, after which he moved to more advanced topics.

Alas, for Naoya, who had pretty much mastered all of his powers except his domain and Mahoraga, it really wasn't anything special or noteworthy.

Though he had started dwelling on barriers for some years since he wasn't making any progress in those areas.

He had already mastered simple barriers like 'Curtain,' which isolates a place; it's what managers use to cover an area where a cursed spirit has appeared.

At the same time, a domain, in a sense, is essentially a higher grade of barrier, meaning knowing more about barriers will help him learn his domain faster.

After the class was done, Masamichi suddenly dropped unexpected news.

"Your first assignment has just arrived. It's a grade 3 cursed spirit....."

Hearing him explain, Naoya released an internal sigh.

First day, and they were already being sent out to exorcise curses.

But still.... a 3rd grade?

Were they being looked down on?

A monster with Six Eyes and Infinity, a Zenin clan genius with the Ten Shadows Technique, one who can control spirits, and a reverse cursed technique healer.

Seemed quite an expensive lineup for a 3rd grade.....

After taking the request, the four of them went toward the parking lot.

As soon as they arrived, Shoko's eyes curiously landed on the white sports car.

'Whose car is that?'

She thought while sitting in the back with Satori and Suguri.

As soon as they took their seats, they seemed to notice an oddity.....

Weren't there four of them?

Wait! Where's Naoya!?

The three of them turned their heads and simultaneously looked out the window.

There they saw Naoya casually walking up to the white Supra with a key in his hand.

The answer was all but obvious at this point.

"Must be nice being born into a rich family..." Shoko muttered in a slightly jealous voice as she took out a cigarette to light a smoke.

Suguri didn't care much; it made no difference to her which car they took.

As for Satori...

She had already exited the black car.

Naoya started up his car and was about to drive when he suddenly heard several knocks on the window.

He turned his head and saw Satori.

Rolling down the window, he asked,

"What's up?"

"Open the door!"

Click

As soon as it was unlocked, Satori opened the door and sat in the passenger seat in a natural manner.

"It's hard to believe the Zenin clan let you buy it."

Satori said while looking around the car.

"I bought it with my own money. These cheapskate Zenins would never let me buy this."

Naoya said in a natural tone as he leaned over toward her and grabbed her seatbelt.

"You know I don't need this."

"It's for safety, and it helps avoid unnecessary trouble."

"Hm."

After putting the seatbelt on her, he opened the dashboard and took out a pair of black sunglasses.

Then, under her curious eyes, he opened them and placed them over her white nose.

"What is this?" she asked while looking through the black glasses.

'It's the glasses you like wearing in the series.'

"I bought them, thinking they'd look good on you, and it seems I was right."

"It does look good....." Satori murmured while staring at herself in the mirror and smiling.

"When did your choice become so good?"

"My choice has always been good. You were just too blind to see it."

"Tsk, says the one who sent me a frog blanket as a present..."

"What? You didn't like the frog blanket?"

"I didn't say that."

Seeing the black car driving away, Naoya pressed the accelerator and chased after it.

At the same time, he couldn't help but think,

'A two-seater sports car with a beautiful woman sitting by his side.'

'What else could a man ask for?'

Vrooom

A multi-storey building was sealed off by several government agents.

Two cars, one black and one white, quickly arrived at the scene.

After getting off, the four of them met the staff and then quickly entered the place.

Walking up the stairs, the four of them followed Satori's guidance before arriving at a room.

"It's inside."

Satori said as she raised her leg and kicked the door open.

Quickly entering the place, their gazes fixed on the large black dog-like cursed spirit.

'Is it really a grade 3 curse?.....'

Naoya thought while examining it.

He had thought they would end up meeting a first-grade or a special-grade curse due to some God-forsaken reason.

But it seemed he was thinking too much.

Naoya was about to crush it when Satori suddenly turned to Suguri and asked,

"Would you like to control it?"

Suguri looked at her, then nodded and took a step forward.

Raising her hand toward the cursed spirit, she activated her technique, forcing the curse to flow toward her before turning it into a blackish-purple ball.

Then, under their curious eyes, she raised the ball to her mouth and gulped it down.

The cursed ball slid down her throat, making her furrow her eyes for a moment before it settled in her stomach.

After exorcising the weak grade 3 spirit, the four of them came back down.

While Satori and Shoko were answering some questions, Naoya turned to the silent Suguri and asked,

"So.... how did it taste?"

"...."

Suguri ignored him, remaining silent.

'If it is similar to the story, then it should taste like a dirty cloth filled with vomit or something?'

Putting his hand in his pocket, he took out a small plastic container with stickers on it.

It was a popular mouth freshener.

Naoya raised it toward her and asked,

"Want some?"

Suguri looked at the mouth freshener, blinked, and nodded.

"Yes."

"Here you go."

She took out a few and directly threw them into her mouth, chewing in silence.

And although she didn't say anything, Naoya clearly saw her expression soften.

As she was chewing, Suguri suddenly said,

"I thought you'd be someone arrogant."

"Oh? So you did know about me?"

"Mhm."

Suguri nodded and continued,

"There is no sorcerer who doesn't know about the twin stars of the jujutsu world."

"That name is giving me déjà vu..." Naoya shivered, remembering an old series from his past.

Quickly forgetting the bad memories, he turned his head toward her and asked,

"So, what do you think of me now?"

"It's hard to say since we just met, but..... thank you for the refreshment."

The fact that Naoya noticed she hated eating cursed spirits at first glance had surprised her.

Due to her naturally calm expression, no one had noticed it before.

But he did.

While she was thinking, Naoya's voice reached her ears.

"So, you wanna be friends?"

She stopped chewing and turned to him.

"Friends?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

That was it.

With those simple words,

they had upgraded from classmates to friends.

"Hey! What are you guys eating?! Give me some!"

Satori and Shoko joined them, then the four of them turned back to the cars.

Unfortunately, as he was reaching for the car door, he was faced with a problem much more difficult than a mere cursed spirit.

"Let me drive!" Satori said with shining eyes.

No, wait! Do you even know how to drive??

----

Back at the Zenin clan.

Naoya lay on his bed, writing several ideas for his domain based on what he had learned today from barriers.

'A little more... just a little more and I will reach that point...'

He narrowed his eyes as he continued writing at a quick speed.

As soon as he masters his domain, he will begin the plan he has been preparing to defeat Mahoraga.

The night became darker, making him finally stop and put down his pen before closing the notebook.

Putting it away, he turned off the lamp and turned to his left, putting his hand around the slim waist of his sleeping maid.

"Hmh."

With her eyes closed, she let out a small voice as his hand slid under her dress and groped her chest.

But just then.

Naoya suddenly retracted his hand and sat up, startling Kiyo.

At the same time, a hurried knock came from his door.

"Naoys-sama, your sisters are here; they want to see you."

'So it was them.'

Naoya relaxed; he had sensed two familiar sources approach but was confused since they had never come to visit him this late at night.

Looking at Kiyo on his side, who was quickly fixing her clothes, he said to the guard.

"Tell them to wait; I'll come out in a minute."

"Naoya-sama, your sisters are injured—wait! you can't rush in—"

*Clank*

His room's door harshly slid open as two familiar figures rushed inside.

They were Maki and Mai.

To be exact, Maki was carrying an unconscious Mai on her back; both were injured, bleeding all over with cuts and bruises on their bodies.

"Brother Naoya... help..." Maki said in a strained voice while looking at him.

Naoya's body instantly turned into a blur as he quickly appeared before them.

He carefully took Mai from Maki's back and laid her down while instructing the guards.

"Get medicine."

"Yes."

Feeling relieved, Maki was about to fall down when Naoya carefully grabbed her and laid her down beside Mai.

"These are surface-level injuries; you guys will be alright," Naoya said to Maki making her relax considerably.

"Now tell me, what happened?"

Maki stared at Naoya's deadly calm face, then opened her mouth and said.

And after he was done listening to her.

Naoya told Kiyo to look after them and left the room after summoning the shikigami Deer.

And as he was walking down the hallway, his face completely darkened.

Previously he had lied to Maki.

Mai's injuries were not just surface level.

Clenching his hand he walked at an even pace.

For now he only knew one thing.

That someone was dying today.
