Chapter 134 - Chapter 134: The Moment Before Origin Breaks

The descent did not look like movement.

It looked like the concept of movement being rewritten.

Across the sky, the opened pre-origin layer stopped behaving like a distant realm and began collapsing its distance entirely. Not toward the battlefield—but toward all possible starting points of existence.

Everything at once was becoming "close enough to be rewritten."

Selina's voice came out slower now, like even speech was being calibrated.

"…It feels like the world is… narrowing."

Kaelith nodded once.

"…It's not narrowing," he said.

A pause.

"…It's being reduced to a single point of rewrite."

Stormveil tried to summon lightning, but nothing responded. Not even suppression—just absence of permission for variation.

"…We're inside the editing layer now," he said quietly.

Cael stood at the center of it all.

The storm around him no longer responded to hierarchy, system logic, or authority layers. It simply existed—unchanged, unclassified, unaccounted for.

And because of that…

It was the only thing still fully real.

Above them, Apex Authority continued.

No hesitation. No fragmentation. Only execution.

"Origin overwrite trajectory locked."

A pause.

"Pre-origin substrate reached."

Another pause.

"Initiating foundational rewrite."

Selina's eyes narrowed slightly.

"…So this is it."

Kaelith answered quietly.

"…The moment everything gets redefined from zero."

Stormveil looked at Cael.

"…And you're still in the middle of it."

Cael didn't look away from the sky.

"…I've always been in the middle of it," he said calmly.

A pause.

"…They're just finally looking there directly."

Silence followed.

The sky above fractured into something no longer resembling structure or system. It was now a writing space, where existence itself was being prepared for revision.

Lines of pre-reality formed—not laws, not rules, but templates for existence before existence had meaning.

Selina swallowed slightly.

"…If they rewrite it…"

She hesitated.

"…Does anything here stay the same?"

Kaelith's answer was quiet.

"…Only what doesn't depend on their definition of reality."

Stormveil exhaled slowly.

"…Which is almost nothing."

Cael finally moved.

One step forward.

Not resisting. Not fleeing. Not confronting.

Just aligning himself with the moment.

The storm around him responded immediately—not with power, but with clarity. It no longer reacted to systems above it. It simply existed as itself, without needing validation from any structure.

Above, Apex Authority detected the anomaly.

"Non-compliant persistence confirmed."

A pause.

"Subject remains unbound by foundational rewrite conditions."

Another pause.

"Interference potential increasing."

Selina's voice dropped.

"…They're noticing you again."

Cael nodded slightly.

"…They never stopped noticing."

Kaelith frowned.

"…So what changes now?"

Cael looked upward.

The pre-origin layer was now fully open—everything ready to be rewritten at once.

And yet…

There was still a gap.

A single unresolved point.

Him.

"…Now," Cael said quietly,

"…we find out if origin can overwrite something that was never written into it."

Stormveil looked up sharply.

"…That sounds like you're not part of existence itself."

Cael didn't deny it.

Above them, Apex Authority initiated the final trigger.

"Foundational rewrite commencing."

The pre-origin layer collapsed inward.

Not into destruction.

But into absolute rewriting intent.

Everything that was, was about to be re-specified from its earliest possible state.

Selina's voice was barely a whisper.

"…This is the end of everything defined…"

Kaelith added quietly.

"…And the beginning of whatever they decide it should have been."

Stormveil looked at Cael one last time.

"…If you survive this…"

Cael interrupted softly.

"…Then it won't be the same system anymore."

And above them—

The first line of origin rewrite was written into existence.
