Tang Wulin's initial urge was driven by a simple desire to protect the innocent people on the train. However, as soon as he heard Huo Yuhao's warning, he forced himself to settle down and think clearly. It was true that a few middle aged men who had not even reached the level of Spirit Elder would never have the courage to start such a violent terrorist attack on their own. This soul tool train was equipped with specialized Spirit Master guards and many advanced security systems. It was impossible for the attackers to be unaware of the danger they faced. Since they had chosen to act anyway, there had to be a powerful mastermind behind the scenes or a hidden trump card that gave them confidence.
While he was speaking, Huo Yuhao pushed his Mental Detection to its absolute limit. His invisible mental force moved through the air like a giant, delicate net, catching every person on the train within its reach. He could feel the rhythm of everyone's breathing and see every tiny change in their facial expressions inside his mind. He was searching for the true enemy hiding in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike. After a short period of time, Huo Yuhao's eyes narrowed slightly. He had finally found someone who looked suspicious.
It was a bald man sitting quietly in a corner of Carriage Eight. He looked like an ordinary passenger, but he was hiding his aura extremely well. Under the power of Huo Yuhao's Mental Detection, the man's suppressed soul power was as clear as a bright candle in a dark room. Even though it was weak, it had nowhere to hide from his eyes. Huo Yuhao looked away and quickly began to give out orders to his friends.
Wulin, you and Naer go take care of those four attackers. Gu Yue, you come with me.
Thanks to the shared Mental Detection, there was no need for him to explain the details of the plan. They all knew exactly where the enemies were and what they needed to do. Tang Wulin and Naer turned and walked quickly toward the corridor on the left side of the dining car. At the same time, Huo Yuhao and Gu Yue headed toward the corridor on the opposite side. Their specific target was the suspicious man in Carriage Eight.
Huo Yuhao walked in the lead, naturally taking hold of Gu Yue's hand as they moved. Her skin felt slightly cool to the touch, but holding her hand gave him a strange sense of peace. He turned his head slightly and sent a private voice message to her. Be very careful, our opponent is not weak at all. Gu Yue's face remained as calm as the surface of a still pond, and her dark eyes showed no emotion. She looked at Huo Yuhao and gave him a serious nod to show she understood.
The sound of the earlier explosion had already traveled through the entire train. Fear began to spread among the passengers like a sickness. The sounds of screams, crying, and running feet turned the train into a scene of total chaos. Luckily, the train staff had started trying to calm everyone down, but many people ignored them and continued to run around in a panic. Even though most people were terrified and shaking, they stayed in their seats with their heads down, praying for the nightmare to end. This meant that Huo Yuhao and Gu Yue were able to walk through the cars without any trouble. They passed many scared faces and soon arrived at the entrance of Carriage Eight.
Huo Yuhao stopped walking and quietly activated his Myriad Thoughts Return to Ruin Domain. His invisible mental energy filled the entire carriage instantly. However, he did not attack right away because he still needed to be sure that this man was truly the leader of the group. On the other side of the train, Tang Wulin and Naer had already entered Carriage Four. The four bandits were still firing their soul tool ray guns wildly. Red beams of light were flying everywhere, leaving the interior of the car in ruins. But these men were only Spirit Grandmasters. Using soul tools to bully normal people was easy, but they were completely helpless against real Spirit Masters.
Tang Wulin's Blue Silver Grass spirit shot out across the floor. Under his careful control, the vines moved like clever snakes and instantly tied up the four attackers. Naer did not want to be left behind, so she thrust her silver dragon spear forward again and again. Even in the tight space of the train car, she moved with perfect skill. Silver light flashed through the air, and the bandits fell to the ground one by one. In just a few seconds, the four gunmen were defeated. At that exact moment, the bald man Huo Yuhao was watching in Carriage Eight suddenly stood up from his seat.
A fierce and terrifying aura exploded from the man's body. This energy was cold, evil, and full of violence, as if it had come straight from the depths of hell. The passengers nearby immediately started screaming in terror, trying to scramble away as fast as they could. Huo Yuhao and Gu Yue looked at each other. The same three words appeared in both of their minds at once: Evil Soul Master. Huo Yuhao did not hesitate anymore and fully activated his Myriad Thoughts Return to Ruin Domain. He began to secretly drain the violent desire to kill from the man's heart.
Inside this crowded carriage, it was difficult to use powerful spirit abilities without hurting the innocent people nearby. Any physical attack could easily hit a passenger. But Huo Yuhao's mental attacks were the perfect solution for this situation. They were invisible and impossible to block. Under the pressure of his domain, the evil aura around the bald man began to fade away. The madness in his eyes started to disappear, replaced by a look of confusion and emptiness.
Huo Yuhao looked through the window at the back of the car and pulled out a Rank 6 long range soul tool. The cold metal felt heavy in his hand as he began to pour his soul power into it. The internal core of the soul tool began to spin at high speed, making a soft humming sound. A bright blue light began to gather at the tip of the weapon. He took careful aim and then fired. A small beam of blue light shot out like a bolt of lightning, heading straight for the back of the Evil Soul Master's head.
If this shot hit its target, the man's head would be destroyed, and the danger would be over. But suddenly, something unexpected happened. Just as the beam was about to hit the man, a blood red shield of light appeared behind him. The shield was as thin as a leaf, but when the blue ray hit it, it made a sharp noise and shattered into tiny pieces of light. Huo Yuhao's eyes widened as the Evil Soul Master suddenly became conscious again. The man turned around, and the confusion in his eyes was gone, replaced by a deep thirst for blood. He had actually managed to break free from the mental control of the domain.
A massive wave of terrifying energy erupted from his body once more. Red soul power flowed out of him like a thick mist of blood, turning the entire carriage a sickly color. This aura was much more evil and violent than it had been before. Beneath his feet, six spirit rings slowly rose into the air: three purple and three black. He was a Spirit Emperor. The Evil Soul Master turned his head and stared back. His red eyes locked onto Huo Yuhao, who was standing in the corridor. His gaze felt heavy and sharp, filled with a murderous intent that felt like it could tear a person apart.
Most Spirit Ancestors would have been paralyzed with fear if they were stared at by an Evil Soul Master of this level. But Huo Yuhao remained perfectly calm. There was not a single hint of fear on his handsome face. It was clear that this man had a passive defense ability that had saved him from the soul tool attack.
Jie Jie Jie!
The Evil Soul Master let out a sharp, disturbing laugh. The sound was high and piercing, like the cry of an owl, making everyone's skin crawl. He looked at Huo Yuhao with excitement shining in his red eyes. I really did not expect to catch such a big fish today, he said in a voice that was rough and dark. The corners of his mouth pulled back to show a set of rotting, black and yellow teeth. The number one genius on the youth list, he said slowly, sounding greedy and mocking. The Spirit Transmitting master, Huo Yuhao!
