Chapter 118 - 118: Tang San: How could this be? Wasn't he dead?

Tang San was shocked. How could this be possible? Wasn't he dead? After he used up almost half of his total energy, Tang San finally managed to make the seal strong again.

The energy in this clone was already very low. The last time he acted, he used a third of his power. This time, he used nearly half of what was left.

Now, only a tiny bit of power remained in the clone. It was just enough for one more small action before it vanished.

What made him even more worried was the damage from the last time he tried to help. It was much worse than he first thought.

Although the energy inside the divine core of the Golden Dragon King looked calm now, the hidden currents had caused permanent damage to the seal.

Even with his personal help to fix it, the seal would not be able to hold for very much longer.

Tang San frowned deeply. If Tang Wulin did not get stronger very quickly, the next time the seal got weak, the result would be worse than just passing out.

Despite how worried he felt, the remaining power of his clone was almost gone.

All he could do for now was handle the current problem and take things one step at a time.

This was the first time since he became a god that he felt so completely helpless.

By his math, Tang Wulin would probably stay asleep for about two days before he finally woke up.

Luckily, his body was doing fine. His life signs were stable, and he was just unable to wake up for a little while.

The teachers and the other students outside should be able to take care of him for now.

As long as those two days passed, everything would be okay.

However, only half a day later, Tang San was suddenly startled awake.

He felt a very strange energy entering the body of Tang Wulin.

This force was much weaker than his own divine power, but it had a deep and special feeling to it. It felt mysterious and hard to track.

Tang San could sense that this new energy was feeding Tang Wulin. It looked like the boy would wake up much sooner than he had expected.

This was definitely good news for Tang San.

His mood started to get a little bit better.

So, he turned his focus to the world outside. He wanted to see what kind of genius had appeared on the Douluo Continent after ten thousand years.

But a moment later, the face of Tang San froze in place.

He looked at the two people standing outside.

One was a young boy standing next to the bed. He looked about eleven or twelve years old. He had a steady look and very deep eyes.

He had a feeling about the boy that seemed familiar.

But what truly shocked Tang San was not the boy himself. It was the ghostly figure floating right next to him.

It was an old man with hair as white as snow and a robe made of mist. His face looked old but very noble, and he was surrounded by glowing magical signs.

He floated there with one hand raised. He held a staff that was moving the strange energy into Tang Wulin to help him.

The eyes of Tang San shook with fear.

His eyes went wide with shock. His face was filled with total disbelief.

Even with the pride of a God King, and even after living for so many years, he could not stay calm.

How could this be possible?

He spoke to himself softly. His voice was shaking because he could not believe what he was seeing.

His mind was suddenly pulled back to the events of ten thousand years ago.

Many memories came back to him. He remembered a moment that was very important even for a God King like him.

Ten thousand years ago, he had found a child of luck in the lower world.

Because of that child, the Tang Sect was able to rise again. He also got a very helpful assistant to join him in the God Realm.

He remembered that year back in the Tang Sect of the lower world.

That child of luck had faced a danger that almost killed him. He was right on the edge of death.

His teacher, who was a dying soul of a half-god, gave up his own life to save the boy from dying.

At that time, Tang San saw everything happening from the God Realm. He could have easily stepped in and fixed the problem.

But he chose not to do anything.

Even though the child of luck had the blessing of the world, he needed certain experiences to really grow up.

Tests, pain, loss, and feeling hopeless were all part of the cost of growing stronger.

The sacrifice of the teacher was just a part of that growth.

He watched the soul of the half-god burn away. He saw the last bit of light vanish into the world. He saw the child of luck scream in pain.

He knew it was meant to happen. It was a test the boy had to pass.

But now, what was he looking at?

He saw Electrolux, the half-god who had died ten thousand years ago, standing right in front of him again.

How could this happen?

That half-god had burned his own soul and disappeared into the world ten thousand years ago.

Even the strongest God King could not bring someone back from that.

Even though his brain told him this was impossible, the scene in front of him was real.

The way he looked, the way he felt, and even the magic he used were all exactly the same.

The spirit of Tang San shook with terror.

The half-god who had died ten thousand years ago was now standing right there.

How could this be?

What was going on?

As his spirit shook, the eyes of Tang San moved to the young boy standing next to Electrolux.

Before, he had only looked at the boy for a second. He thought the boy looked familiar but did not think about it much.

But now, thinking about the past from ten thousand years ago, the face of the boy started to look like someone from his memory.

The eyes of Tang San got small again.

Huo Yuhao?

He whispered the name. His voice was trembling with total shock.

If he had only seen the boy, he might have thought it was just a coincidence.

But now that Electrolux was there, this could not be a mistake. It was impossible for this to be anything else.

This boy had to be Yuhao.

A moment later, Electrolux stopped his magic.

He looked at Yuhao with a small smile on his face.

Magic is a power that comes from a different world, but it can be used in this one too. If you want to learn it, I will show you how.

The eyes of Yuhao started to glow. Since he could move between two worlds, he had twice as much time as anyone else to study this new magic.

He did not wait and nodded his head right away. Thank you, Teacher.

Electrolux smiled. You do not need to thank me.

He stopped for a second and looked at the person still asleep on the bed.

Your friend will wake up very soon.

With those words, the body of Electrolux slowly faded into the air. He went back inside the spiritual sea of Yuhao.

Mmm.

A short time later, a quiet sound came from the bed.

The eyes of Tang Wulin moved a little bit before they slowly opened.

His eyes were blurry and confused. It felt like he was waking up from a very long dream.

He stared at the ceiling for a while. Then he realized where he was and sat up slowly.

That was when he saw Yuhao standing next to his bed.

Yuhao? He asked the question with a shaky and confused voice. What are you doing in here?

Yuhao looked at him and explained. You passed out last night. It was not just me, some other people came to check on you too.

Tang Wulin blinked his big, pretty eyes. He started to remember what happened the night before.

Just then, Yuhao opened the door. He let in several people who looked very worried.

They gathered around the bed of Tang Wulin. They asked him if he was okay and showed how much they cared.

Seeing how worried they were made Tang Wulin feel good inside, but he also felt a little bit bad.

He could guess that passing out last night had something to do with the dragon inside of him.

But this secret was something he could not tell anyone, just like Old Tang had warned him.

It was a heavy weight he had to carry by himself. It was a secret he had to keep hidden.

Looking at their worried faces, Tang Wulin waited a second before saying sorry in his head.

Everyone, please do not worry. He said this while looking up with a smile. I am fine. I probably just worked too hard last night and did not have enough time to rest.

When they heard this, Xie Xie and Xu Xiaoyan looked much better. They told him not to work so hard next time.

However, the other three people there frowned a little bit. They did not believe his story at all.

Working too hard during practice?

They did not believe that for even one single second.
