I kept my eyes closed tightly while I sat on the soft dirt ground of the forest clearing. The air around my body was very quiet, and I could feel the natural warmth of the sun shining down through the green leaves of the regenerated trees above my head. My legs were crossed completely on the earth, keeping my posture balanced and steady as I began the process of meditating under the open sky. I focused all of my attention deep inside my own chest, trying to find the connection to the new energy that had just been placed into my system. I could feel the presence of the weird tattoo on the back of my right hand, the skin beneath the sun, stars, and moons design feeling slightly warm against my fingers. I breathed in slowly through my nose, letting the fresh forest air fill my lungs before releasing it gently into the quiet space around me. I wanted to calm my mind completely so that I could learn how to manage the vast pool of energy that Chlaire had given to me through our soul bond contract. I stayed perfectly motionless on the ground for several long moments, letting the external sounds of the wilderness fade away until there was only absolute silence inside my thoughts. I tried to visualize the endless mana pool that was now accessible to my independent frame, treating it like a large body of water that I needed to tap into very carefully. My goal was to draw out just a tiny fraction of a single percent of that power so that I could learn the basic control of my rare magic affinity without causing any more massive destruction to the surrounding landscape. I kept my breathing regular and smooth, focusing all my willpower on creating a small steady line of energy from the mark on my hand into my arm. The feeling of the internal energy was very large and heavy, resting just beneath the surface of my skin like a sleeping force that was waiting for a single command to wake up fully. I kept my focus completely steady, pushing away any feelings of doubt or confusion as I continued to sit in the middle of the dirt clearing. Chlaire remained completely silent somewhere nearby, watching my quiet posture while I maintained my meditative state on the earth. I did not move a single muscle, keeping my hands resting flat on my knees while I explored the deep darkness behind my closed eyelids, searching for a way to balance the power. I felt the energy shifting slowly, responding to my quiet concentration as I tried to separate a microscopic drop of mana from the main source. It was a very delicate task because the pool felt completely infinite, with no visible boundaries or limits to its capacity. I spent several additional minutes trying to guide this tiny drop through my physical frame, moving it carefully from the back of my hand up into my shoulder blocks. I wanted to ensure that I had a firm grip on this small amount before I opened my eyes to test its physical application on the land. The process required all of my mental strength, forcing me to ignore the slight trembling in my fingers as the immense force brushed against my inner system. I maintained my absolute stillness on the dirt, breathing slowly and keeping my mind completely clear of any other thoughts while I worked to master the basic flow.
After completing this period of intense internal focus, I decided it was time to put my meditation to a practical test in the open clearing. I opened my eyes slowly, letting the bright morning sunlight fill my vision once again as I looked at the green trees of the forest. I uncrossed my legs carefully, shifting my physical weight forward onto my feet, and stood up straight on the rough dirt ground. I balanced my posture evenly, making sure my boots were planted firmly on the earth before I made any other movements with my arms. I reached my right hand down toward my side, wrapping my fingers tightly around the cold handle of my metal sword once again. I felt the familiar solid weight of the weapon in my grip, and I prepared to use it as a catalyst for the tiny drop of energy I had just isolated during my meditation. I pulled the blade out slightly, holding it out in front of my chest so that I could direct the power cleanly through the steel. I focused my thoughts on the servant mark, intending to release only that microscopic amount of mana into the handle of the weapon. But the moment I attempted to transfer the power, a sudden and violent shift occurred inside my physical frame. I became completely unable to control my output as the tiny drop I had isolated was instantly overwhelmed by the rest of the endless mana pool. The energy surged forward with incredible speed, completely ignoring my mental commands and flooding my entire body with a tremendous amount of force. It felt like a giant dam had broken inside my chest, allowing a massive, unstoppable wave of power to rush through my arms and into my hands all at once. The physical pressure was immense, making my muscles burn as the energy poured continuously from the weird tattoo into the steel blade without any delay. I tried to pull back my focus and shut down the connection, but the internal force was far too strong for my independent frame to handle. I was completely unable to control my output, and my body became a mere pathway for the infinite pool of mana that was rushing out into the physical world. The metal sword in my right hand began to vibrate violently under the immense pressure of the energy, and a sudden burst of thick black fire erupted from the blade, growing larger and larger with every passing fraction of a single second. The dark flames flared up wildly into the air, reaching high above my head and casting deep, moving shadows across the entire clearing as the out of control power continued to blast out from my weapon.
As the thick black fire continued to grow wildly around my metal weapon, the pure force of the out of control energy began to move my physical arms against my will. I could not hold the sword still in front of my chest anymore because the pressure of the infinite mana pool was pushing my body forward with tremendous physical momentum. I swung my arm around in a wide, desperate arc to release some of the immense pressure, directing the flaming blade toward the outer edge of the forest clearing. In that exact direction, a massive, solid mountain rose high into the sky, its rocky peaks visible far beyond the line of the tall green trees. The moment my sword completed its heavy forward swing, a giant slash of pure black fire shot out from the steel edge, traveling across the distance with impossible speed. The dark energy cut through the air, and it hit the giant rock structure with a tremendous force that shook the ground beneath my boots. I accidentally destroy the nearby mountain in a single instant, the entire rocky structure exploding into absolute nothingness from the sheer power of my out of control magic affinity. The massive mountain just vanished completely from the face of the earth, leaving a giant empty space in the landscape where the solid peaks had been standing just a moment before. The explosion did not leave any broken rocks or dust behind; everything was completely consumed by the black fire. But the vast destruction did not remain permanent on the land. In the next fraction of a second, the planet regenerated its mountain completely, causing the giant rock structure to reform perfectly back into its original shape under the open sky without any delay. The rocky peaks and solid cliffs appeared back in their exact positions, completely whole and untouched by the dark flames. Despite the mountain returning to normal, the endless flow of energy inside my physical frame did not stop or slow down at all. The servant mark on my hand kept glowing with a brilliant light, pouring a continuous wave of power into my arm. I kept swinging my sword over and over again in the middle of the clearing, unable to bring my hands to a halt or lower the weapon to my side. I moved my feet across the rough dirt, lifting my boots and shifting my weight as I threw another powerful horizontal slash through the air. The black fire flared up again with every movement of my arms, cutting wild patterns into the sky while I struggled desperately to regain my balance. I kept swinging my sword with all my might, trying to burn off the infinite mana pool completely.
