Chapter 363 - NUCT: Chapter 363

"The fight has only just begun. Now I'll show you exactly what I've achieved during my training!"

Naruto shouted at the top of his lungs, then began gathering chakra to form the Rasengan, with the help of his shadow clones.

Sasuke glanced at him, somewhat surprised, and immediately flung several shuriken straight at him.

But there's a saying: fools have their own clever ways.

Naruto knew perfectly well that while he was forming the Rasengan, he was basically a sitting duck — but he had shadow clones!

If one wasn't enough, he'd use two. If two weren't enough, ten. If that still wasn't enough, then a hundred… or a thousand!

He had so much chakra that he could afford to waste it however he liked.

Thud! Thud! Thud!…

Naruto simply ordered the rest of his shadow clones to step in front of him, blocking Sasuke's attacks entirely with their own bodies.

Sometimes, Sasuke couldn't help wondering — wasn't it said that shadow clones transferred every memory and experience back to the original body when they dispersed?

If so, having his clones "killed" this many times… wouldn't that leave him with severe psychological trauma?

Even if it didn't, surely he shouldn't be acting as if nothing had happened at all?

But then again… the Child of Prophecy was just built differently!

"Take this — Rasengan!"

Naruto finally finished shaping the technique and charged forward, yelling wildly.

At that same moment, dazzling lightning gathered around Sasuke's right hand.

Chidori?

No — it was the Chidori Sharp Spear!

He shaped the lightning into the form of a long spear and shot it straight out.

Although its raw power was slightly less than the original Chidori, it had far greater range, struck without warning, and was much more flexible.

Sasuke had developed this move after realizing he could channel lightning through his Kusanagi sword. The key advantage was that it could be extended or shortened at will!

Naruto was shocked — he never expected Sasuke to use a variation of the technique. He was completely caught off guard.

Instinctively, he raised the Rasengan in his hand to block the attack.

Then — BOOM!

The Chidori Sharp Spear and the Rasengan collided violently, creating a massive explosion.

Naruto was blasted backward by the sheer force of the impact. Sasuke, however, had kept his distance; he simply raised his arm to shield himself and didn't take a single step back.

That single exchange made it perfectly clear who was stronger.

But Naruto was incredibly tough. Anyone else would have lost an arm from that blast, yet he was mostly unharmed — suffering nothing worse than minor cuts and bruises.

"Naruto!"

Jiraiya jumped in alarm, terrified that Naruto might have been seriously injured.

But Naruto stubbornly pushed himself back up from the dirt. "I'm fine! I haven't lost yet!"

That stubborn streak of his… Sasuke had no idea who he got it from.

Sigh…

Jiraiya let out a helpless sigh and said no more.

Tsunade tried to comfort him. "It's just two kids rough‑housing. Why are you so tense? Relax — I'm right here. As long as they're still breathing, I can patch them up good as new."

Ever since that time Shinji had run away from her, Tsunade had partially overcome her fear of blood.

It was a strange condition — the more you feared it and avoided it, the worse it became.

But once you had a reason to face it and pushed past that mental barrier, you realized it wasn't nearly as terrifying as you thought.

Jiraiya didn't reply, but he did seem to calm down.

Winning or losing didn't matter anymore. He just hoped Naruto wouldn't be too crushed by the result.

It was obvious now: Sasuke had grown far, far stronger than he was when he left the village.

Under Jiraiya's guidance, Naruto had also improved steadily… but compared to Sasuke, his progress was much slower.

Was it a difference in natural talent? Or was it the difference in their teachers?

Jiraiya began to wonder if Akagi Shinji possessed some special, secret teaching methods.

While he was lost in thought, Naruto was once again knocked flat on his back by Sasuke.

"This is the result of your training? Standing still and waiting to be hit? How ridiculous!"

Sasuke looked down at him from above, full of disdain.

Naruto pounded the ground hard with his fist, furious and frustrated.

Why? He had mastered such a powerful technique as the Rasengan… yet he was losing worse than ever.

The real reason was simple — he hadn't mastered it well enough.

He still needed a shadow clone just to help form it. Even when he could move while charging it up, it was far too easy to disrupt before it was fully formed.

Sasuke hadn't even activated his Mangekyō Sharingan, yet he effortlessly saw Naruto's awkwardness and every single weakness.

Time after time, he waited until the very moment the Rasengan was almost complete, then did something to make Naruto's effort go to waste.

Even if Naruto managed to release it successfully, Sasuke still didn't fear it.

Whether using the regular Chidori or the Chidori Stream, he could clash head‑on with the Rasengan and overpower it.

"DAMN IT!"

For what felt like the hundredth time, Naruto stood up and performed the Shadow Clone Technique again.

This time, however, he was a little smarter. He began using all kinds of tricks and misdirection, hiding his real body among the crowd so Sasuke couldn't tell which one was genuine.

While Sasuke was distracted, Naruto took the chance to secretly start charging the Rasengan again.

Sasuke didn't even bother trying to stop him this time. He just let Naruto finish shaping the technique and charge forward with his army of clones.

Sasuke quickly formed hand seals and unleashed a Fireball Technique, instantly incinerating dozens of Narutos in one go.

But protected by his clones, the real Naruto — Rasengan ready in hand — burst out through the smoke.

Meanwhile, several shuriken and kunai scattered on the ground around Sasuke suddenly transformed into Narutos and rushed at him at full speed, grabbing and holding him tight.

Naruto wasn't actually as stupid as he acted — he had just played the fool perfectly, staying in character the whole time.

He had taken the opportunity earlier to turn some of his shadow clones into ordinary weapons and leave them lying around, waiting for just this moment.

He had endured Sasuke beating him down over and over again just to make this plan work.

Now — finally — his chance had come!

"RASENGAN!"

Filled with rage and triumph, Naruto didn't hold back or think about the consequences. He slammed the technique straight into Sasuke's body.

"I WIN!"

A huge grin spread across Naruto's face.

But what he didn't expect… was that the moment he made contact, Sasuke suddenly turned into a block of wood.

"Substitution Technique?! When did you…?!"

"Right after I used the Fireball — when the smoke blocked your vision."

Sasuke's voice sounded calmly from directly behind Naruto.

Naruto froze instantly. Before he could even turn around or react, a hand pressed firmly onto the top of his head, followed by immense force.

BAM!

Naruto's face met the dirt ground with a heavy thud.

Sasuke hadn't forgotten how Naruto had hit him with full force just now.

With that kind of power, if Sasuke had really been hit, he would have been severely injured.

In that case, there was no reason for him to hold back either.

With one hand pressing Naruto's head firmly into the earth, Sasuke raised the other. The screech of a thousand birds and blinding crackle of lightning filled the air.

This time it wasn't the Sharp Spear… but the real, full‑power Chidori.

At such close range, Sasuke could easily drive it straight through Naruto's body.

"NARUTO! STOP THIS!"

Even though Tsunade was standing right there ready to heal anyone hurt, Jiraiya couldn't hold back any longer.

His silver hair hardened and extended like living metal, shooting straight toward Sasuke to intervene.

But at that very moment, another voice spoke up.

"Do you just pretend I'm not even here…?"
