.....

The atmosphere in the cave grew even heavier.

No one moved.

No one spoke.

The tension was suffocating—especially after seeing someone like Barry, a man they trusted so much, suddenly turn against them.

"Barry, listen to me. I know you don't want to do this. We can talk about this calmly. If you have a problem, I'm sure we can help you," Allen said, trying to reason with him.

Barry froze for a moment, conflict flashing across his face.

"Barry… we've known each other for a long time, haven't we?" Enrico added. "I know what kind of man you are. If you've got a problem, just tell me. I'll help you. I know you don't really want to do something this cruel."

"Barry, I'll help you too. Please don't do this," Chris said, his voice filled with concern. "Whatever it is… you can tell us."

That made Barry fall silent.

His hand trembled slightly.

Time seemed to slow—

Until finally…

"…Wesker."

His voice came out weak.

"H—he kidnapped my family. I don't have a choice, okay? I hope you understand… I have to follow his orders. If not, my family will be killed," Barry admitted.

"He told me to bring you to him… in the lab, in the basement. I don't know the rest," he added.

"That bastard Wesker!" Chris growled, clenching his fists.

Allen quickly glanced around the area.

No cameras… good.

"Barry, then we play along," Allen said calmly. "We pretend to follow his plan. And when the chance comes… we shoot him on the spot. There are enough of us—Wesker won't survive a hail of bullets."

He paused for a second.

"After that, we go save your wife and daughters."

"There are no surveillance cameras here. I'm sure Wesker won't know about this," Allen added.

"Yeah… Allen's idea is good," Chris nodded. "But if possible, don't kill Wesker immediately. We need him to tell us where your family is first."

Even so, the thought of gunning Wesker down made the others nod in agreement.

After everything they had seen…

He deserved it.

"Yeah, Barry. You can trust us," Enrico said firmly. "And besides… there's no guarantee Wesker would let your family go, even if you followed his orders."

Barry stood there in silence.

Then—

Clatter.

His gun fell from his hand.

"I—I'm sorry… everyone. You're right… forgive me," he said, guilt overwhelming him.

"It's okay, Barry. We understand," Enrico replied. "Anyone in your position might've done the same."

"Yeah… I probably would've done the same too," Allen added, casually holding one of his women's hands.

"Alright… then let's focus," Chris said, taking a deep breath. "We need a solid plan to take Wesker down—and then find a way out of this place."

Everyone nodded.

And just like that—

They began planning.

...…

Meanwhile, deep within the underground laboratory beneath the Spencer Mansion—

Wesker stood in silence, staring at a massive tank containing a clone of Tyrant-002.

The creature floated motionless inside, its overwhelming presence filling the room.

Without wasting time, Wesker began preparing the activation code for the B.O.W.

This… was his true objective.

He planned to sell the battle data of this Tyrant. Compared to Tyrant-003—also known as the Ivan Tyrant—this one was far easier to mass-produce. The cost was lower, the maintenance simpler, and overall, far more efficient.

Perfect for business.

This kind of data wouldn't just attract Umbrella's rivals—it would sell extremely well on the black market. Anyone looking to build their own organization… or even a private army… would be willing to pay a fortune for it.

And Wesker needed that money.

He needed resources.

Power.

Unlike his sister Alex, he wasn't born with wealth. So he had no choice but to carve his own path—no matter what it took.

While waiting for Barry to bring the others, Wesker calmly pulled out a syringe.

Inside it… was the Prototype T-Virus.

The same virus William had once given him—to fake his death.

Without hesitation, Wesker injected it into his body.

His lips slowly curled into a smirk.

Everything was already falling into place.

All he had to do now… was wait.

Wait for the perfect moment to stage his "death" in front of the S.T.A.R.S. members.

He was confident.

Completely confident.

After all…

He believed he was the chosen one.

(Ps: Not the chosen one from Star Wars, of course.)

....

After finalizing the plan for the "drama" they were about to play, the team split into two groups.

Jill, Rebecca, Athena, and several others headed toward the warehouse to secure vehicles for their escape.

Meanwhile, Allen, Chris, Svetlana, and Enrico followed Barry toward the laboratory room.

Not long after, they arrived and stepped inside.

"Wesker, I've done what you ordered… now keep your promise," Barry said, holding Enrico hostage as the others stood behind him.

"..."

Wesker didn't even turn around at first.

"Well, well, well… good job, Barry. As for my promise, I'm sure your family is doing just fine—I guarantee it," Wesker said calmly, still focused on his computer.

Then—

He pressed the activation button.

"Since when, Wesker? Since when did you start taking money from Umbrella?" Chris said.

"Hahaha, Chris, it seems you've misunderstood something. From the very beginning, I've been working with Umbrella, and S.T.A.R.S was a team formed by Umbrella," Wesker replied.

"Ohhh, you can go now, Barry. You can wait for me outside," Wesker added.

Hearing that, Barry immediately left the room. Before going, he glanced at Chris and the others, receiving a small nod from them.

Click.

The door closed.

Then—

Wesker slowly turned to face them.

"Why are you doing this? What's your goal?" Chris asked, his voice filled with anger.

Wesker adjusted his glasses slightly.

"Hmmm… my goal?" he repeated. "Of course… to make all of you witness the masterpiece of Umbrella's creation."

He stepped aside—

Revealing the massive glass tube behind him.

Inside, the Tyrant was already beginning to activate.

"Let me introduce him—Tyrant-002. A biological weapon designed to replace humans in war," Wesker continued calmly.

That was the signal.

In an instant, Chris, Allen, and the others pulled out their pistols from behind their backs and aimed directly at Wesker.

"Have you gone mad, Wesker?! You can't escape from us now—surrender!" Chris shouted.

But Wesker didn't even react.

It was as if he had already expected this.

In fact… this was part of his plan.

"Surrender, huh?" Wesker smirked. "That's only if you can survive… him."

At that exact moment—

The Tyrant's eyes snapped open.

CRAAASH!!

The bulletproof glass shattered instantly.

Before anyone could react—

The Tyrant moved.

SHRRK!!

Its massive claws pierced straight into Wesker's stomach.

"What?!—Akhhhhh!!"

Wesker screamed in pain as his body was lifted off the ground—

—and then violently thrown across the room.

BOOM!!

He slammed hard against the wall.

To the Tyrant—

Wesker was nothing more than trash.

"Fuck… that creature killed Wesker! Everyone, shoot!" Enrico shouted.

Bang!... Bang!... Bang!...

Gunfire echoed throughout the room, but their bullets seemed completely useless against the Tyrant.

"Shit, our bullets don't seem to work against that monster—let's run!" Chris shouted.

"I'll hold the monster off!" Enrico said.

"Forget it, Captain," Allen replied.

Without hesitation, he pulled the pin on a grenade and threw it straight toward the Tyrant.

The moment the others saw that—

They panicked.

Throwing a grenade in such a confined room was insane.

Everyone immediately ran for cover.

But the Tyrant simply caught the grenade in its hand.

Then—

BOOOOM!!!

The explosion tore through the room, violently wrecking everything around it.

Several glass containers shattered instantly, sending sharp fragments flying everywhere—some even piercing into Wesker's groin area as his body lay motionless.

Smoke filled the air.

Debris scattered across the floor.

But the explosion had done its job—

It bought them enough time.

Without wasting another second, they escaped from the room.

.....

Meanwhile, Barry, who was waiting by the elevator, was a bit confused by what was happening. "What's going on?"

"Hurry! There's a monster chasing us!" Enrico shouted.

Barry, still confused about what kind of monster they meant, just nodded and activated the elevator to the upper floor where the other members were already waiting.

After reaching the top floor, feeling that the area was relatively safe, Barry asked what happened. "What about Wesker? What actually happened?" Barry asked.

But not long after, it seemed the Tyrant had managed to catch up with them.

"Wesker—he's dead. That monster killed him," Allen said.

"What the fuck kind of monster is that?" Joseph and the others said, clearly shaken after seeing the towering 3-meter creature with an exposed heart and a sharp arm that looked like it could tear through a steel door.

"Throw all your grenades and run, we can get to the garage to find the vehicles prepared there!" Enrico ordered, not wanting a single one of his team to fight the monster.

Not long after, they all threw their grenades. Then an even bigger explosion echoed through the mansion's lobby. The Tyrant roared in pain as the grenades seemed to have injured it.

Seeing the opportunity, the members ran again. But as they were running, they suddenly heard the mansion's self-destruct program activating.

"Come on, we better get out of here right now—that's the self-destruction warning," Allen said.

"Damn Umbrella, looks like they're trying to destroy the evidence of their crimes and everyone who's a witness here," Chris said angrily.

When they arrived at the back warehouse area, they saw the other Bravo Team members already waiting for them. A helicopter had just arrived and was still hovering above.

"Brad, you bastard, you finally showed up!" Barry shouted over the radio, his mood seemingly back to normal, the guilt of betraying his teammates already starting to fade.

"M-Msorry…" Brad replied over the radio, sounding a little ashamed.

"Okay, we'd better get out of here," Enrico said, preparing to enter the vehicle to regroup with Bravo Team. But not long after, the roar of the monster echoed again—it was chasing them once more.

"Damn it, that monster again!" Joseph cursed, quickly raising his sniper rifle and firing. Bang! The shot landed directly on its head, forcing the monster to stagger back in pain.

But it quickly recovered and charged forward at incredible speed, ready to skewer Joseph with its claw.

"What the hell—" Joseph muttered, already resigned to death, realizing he had no time to dodge. He watched as the Tyrant's claw closed in on him, certain his end was near.

But suddenly, his body was tackled out of the way by Chris, saving him in the nick of time.

"Thanks, Chris!" Joseph shouted.

"At least I managed to save you—consider my debt paid," Chris replied.

The other members didn't stand idle either; they opened fire, showering the Tyrant with bullets.

Svetlana aimed her rifle's grenade launcher and fired.

Boom! The explosion blasted the Tyrant back a considerable distance. But its skin was tougher than expected—the damage wasn't as severe as they hoped.

"He's strong," Svetlana muttered, her eyes narrowing with a spark of excitement, clearly interested in fighting the monster herself.

Seeing that opportunity, Enrico then ordered everyone to move forward and fire all their bullets at once.

Bang!...Bang!...Bang!...

Gunfire after gunfire was unleashed and several grenades were also thrown continuously, but it seemed like the monster became even more aggressive instead, swatting away one of the grenades, and that grenade was thrown toward Allen, Jill, Athena, Rebecca, and Svetlana. Athena, seeing the bomb, then protected Jill with her shield while Allen shielded Rebecca with his body, and Svetlana dodged by leaping to the side. BOOOMM! Their bodies were thrown quite far, but luckily it didn't injure them because the nanosuit made of Vibranium was able to absorb the kinetic energy they received.

"Fuck," muttered Enrico, wanting to immediately check their condition.

"We're fine, Captain," said Allen, who quickly stood up while checking the condition of his women.

"We're fine, Allen," said Athena, who then stood up together with Jill. Svetlana was the same, though her outfit was glowing slightly from absorbing more of the kinetic energy.

But now the Tyrant got back up and managed to injure one of the S.T.A.R.S. members, throwing him into the others, breaking their formation. The Tyrant then immediately struck down one by one of the tactical rescue team members.

"Ahhh!" screamed Edward as his arm was cut off by the Tyrant.

Enrico then ran forward, intending to attack—he wanted to blow himself up along with the Tyrant. But the Tyrant grabbed Edward by the leg and hurled him toward Enrico. Seeing that, Enrico chose instead to catch Edward's body and was flung away together with him.

Brad, seeing the state of his team, then threw down the RPG that was there.

"Use this," said Brad over the radio.

Chris, seeing this, immediately ran toward the weapon. But suddenly, the Tyrant grabbed his head.

"Chris, no!…" shouted Barry, rushing forward, but the Tyrant swatted him away, sending him flying far.

"Let's help them," said Allen to Svetlana.

"Allen, be careful," said Rebecca, who at that moment was being carried by Athena and Jill to protect her, since among them only Rebecca wasn't skilled in combat and needed protection.

Allen nodded and dashed forward together with Svetlana at incredible speed.

At that moment, Chris—who looked like he was about to be impaled by the Tyrant just like Wesker had been—tried punching the Tyrant, but its body was so tough that even when Chris tried stabbing it with a knife, the blade couldn't pierce its skin.

"Nooo!" shouted Barry.

But suddenly, he saw Allen and Svetlana charging in, slamming into the Tyrant's body with tremendous force. It was as if a small explosion went off from their suits, shocking the other team members who witnessed it.

The impact forced the Tyrant to release its grip on Chris, and Allen quickly caught his body.
