The next morning, Allen woke up in his bed as usual, surrounded by his women—Annette, Alyssa, Karena, and Rebecca.
The four of them were still lying around him, completely exhausted after their intense "workout" the night before. After everything Allen had put them through, it was no surprise that none of them had the strength to even move yet. (AN: sry but no smut tonight)
After cleaning himself up and leaving the bedroom, Allen got a call from Katherin.
[Hey Allen, are you busy?]
"Nope, I'm free right now. What's up?"
[Do you want to have lunch with me today?]
"Hmmm, of course. Where?" There was no way Allen could refuse an invitation like that, not from a beautiful woman.
[Great! I'll send you the location later—or do you want me to pick you up?] Katherin asked playfully, twirling a strand of her hair.
"No need to trouble yourself, I can come on my own."
[Okay then, that's all. See you soon, Allen.]
"Yeah, okay," Allen replied.
With that, their call ended after exchanging goodbyes.
Later, at a rather high-class restaurant, Svetlana—as usual seated at Allen's side—watched him with an annoyed expression.
Why is this man always surrounded by so many beautiful women… she thought, sighing inwardly.
Not long after, Katherin arrived, looking stunning in her outfit for the day. The light makeup she wore only enhanced her natural charm. But she seemed a little surprised to see Svetlana there. After all, she knew Svetlana—having met her once before when visiting the RPD with her father.
"You look amazing today, Katherin. Oh, by the way, let me introduce you—this is Svetlana, my bodyguard," Allen said with an easy smile.
However, Katherin didn't seem to mind Svetlana's presence since she was Allen's bodyguard. Although she was a little surprised that Allen could hire someone like Svetlana as his personal guard, she also told Allen that she had met Svetlana before, so they weren't exactly strangers.
"So, you two have met before?" Allen asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, back then my father and I were visiting the RPD, and I was introduced to Svetlana there," Katherin replied before sitting down in her chair and ordering food for herself.
"By the way, Allen, why have you been so hard to reach lately?" Katherin asked, since she had tried to contact Allen several times.
"Ahh, sorry about that. I've just been a little busy with work lately," Allen answered, though in reality, he had been busy pampering his women.
"Hmmm, yeah, I heard you just completed a dangerous mission in the Arklay Mountains. You know, I was a little worried when I heard about it," Katherin said.
"Well, you see I'm perfectly fine, so I don't think you need to worry anymore. By the way, Katherin, aren't you busy with your own work too?"
"Yeah, I've been pretty busy, but right now I'm taking a long break. Oh, and I saw you picking up Sherry at my workplace the other day, but I didn't get the chance to greet you," Katherin said, her tone showing a hint of curiosity about why Allen was picking up someone else's daughter there.
"So, you work as a teacher there?"
"Yes…" Katherin nodded.
"Allen, actually, I wanted to talk to you about something," she said, her voice carrying a bit of sadness.
"What do you want to talk about? Don't worry, I'll listen. Besides, we're pretty close, so don't hesitate," Allen replied, clearly realizing that this woman seemed troubled by something.
But before she could say anything more, tears suddenly streamed down Katherin's face and she broke into sobs.
"Hic… I'm sorry, Allen. I didn't mean for you to see me like this."
Seeing that, Allen immediately stood up from his chair, grabbed a tissue, and gently wiped away her tears.
"Hey, don't cry… it's okay. I'm here," Allen said softly as he sat down beside her and pulled Katherin into a comforting hug.
After a moment, when Katherin had calmed down a little, she looked up at him.
"Allen… everything I thought I knew was a lie. I don't know what to do anymore."
"Calm down. Being sad and crying won't solve your problem. So tell me—what really happened?" Allen said, patiently waiting for her to steady herself.
Inside, Allen was a little confused about why the girl had suddenly broken down like this.
Did something happen to her? he wondered.
Katherin gradually relaxed in his arms. Allen's embrace felt warm and reassuring, and it helped ease the anxiety that had been weighing on her.
When she was finally calm enough to speak, Katherin continued in a slightly shaky voice.
"Lately… I discovered that my father has been involved in a conspiracy with others to cover up crimes committed by Umbrella," she confessed while still clinging tightly to Allen.
"I confronted him about it, but my father said there's nothing he can do. He told me his power as mayor means nothing compared to Umbrella's influence. He said he has no choice but to follow whatever they want—especially since eighty percent of this city's development came from their investments."
Allen listened quietly while gently stroking her back.
"Is that so? Well… things like this happen all the time," he said calmly.
"But Allen, it's not fair!" Katherin protested, pouting with frustration and anger. "Especially when I found out that Brian has been secretly arresting civilians and beating innocent people!"
"As for that case, there's nothing I can personally do," Allen replied in a tone that sounded almost resigned. "If you want to report it, the best option is to take it to the Department of Justice, Transparency International US, or the FBI."
After all, situations like this weren't rare. Corruption was everywhere—not just in Raccoon City, but across the world and throughout history.
Allen had no real desire to involve himself in something like that. It would only waste his time.
"Allen… I'm scared," Katherin said quietly.
"Lately someone has been trying to blackmail me and threaten me. They said they'll leak evidence of my father's corruption to the public. I don't know what to do anymore."
She looked up at him with pleading eyes.
"Allen… can you help me?"
There was both fear and sadness in her voice. She didn't know whether she should stand with justice or protect her family.
But one thing was certain—she didn't want to see her family destroyed because of this.
One of Allen's eyebrows lifted slightly when he heard Katherin's request.
"So… how exactly do you want me to help you?" Allen asked.
Katherin looked at him. Even though there was still a hint of hesitation in her eyes, it seemed she had already made up her mind.
"I–I want you to help me deal with the person who's been blackmailing me. At the very least… I want that man to either keep his mouth shut or end up in prison," Katherin said nervously. She was a little afraid Allen might judge her for making such a choice.
"As for that, just leave it to me," Allen replied casually. If it was something like this, he had no problem handling it.
Hearing Allen accept so easily made Katherin feel relieved, especially since he didn't seem to think badly of her decision.
"Thank you, Allen… you're my savior," Katherin said before planting a kiss on his cheek.
"Don't worry, of course I'll pay you. But you know I don't have much money, so I can't offer you much."
"Hahaha, you don't have to worry about payment. Of course I'll help a friend who's in trouble," Allen said with a laugh.
However, hearing the word friend made Katherin feel a little disappointed. Sometimes the truth was harsh.
"Allen… I'm really confused. Do you think I should stand by my father in this matter?" Katherin asked, clearly torn by her dilemma.
She asked this again because she still wasn't sure whether the choice she had made was right or wrong.
"Whatever decision you make, Katherin, I won't judge you. Just follow your heart," Allen said calmly.
To him, it didn't really matter what decisions his women made—as long as they never betrayed his love, that was enough.
Katherin took a deep breath before looking at Allen again.
"I can't let my father go to prison over this. He's worked so hard to build this city and sacrificed his life for his work," she said, finally deciding which side she would take.
Allen could only shake his head slightly when he heard that, feeling a bit sorry for her.
He already knew the truth.
When the outbreak happened, her father would be one of the first people to flee the city along with the other officials—without hesitation. And in the end, he would leave his own daughter behind with Brian, which ultimately led to her suffering at that man's hands.
Of course, Allen would never allow Katherin to experience something so tragic.
After all, he had already decided that she was his woman.
"Alright. Once we finish eating here, I'll take care of your problem," Allen said firmly.
"Thank you, Allen. I feel like I owe you now. And if you ever need my help in the future, I'll do anything for you," Katherin said happily, relieved now that her burden had been lifted.
"Anything?" Allen asked with a teasing smile.
Realizing what she had just said, Katherin's face immediately turned red. Still, seeing this as an opportunity to grow closer to Allen, she slowly nodded.
"Yes… I'll do anything," she whispered.
"Well then, I'll be looking forward to that," Allen replied with a shrug.
Svetlana, who had overheard their conversation, simply cut into the steak she had ordered, looking slightly annoyed.
She had clearly been with Allen first, yet it seemed he had already found another woman to share his bed with.
Should I make the first move? Svetlana wondered.
She remembered what Rebecca and Karena had told her—that Allen actually preferred it when his women took the initiative.
After finishing lunch at the restaurant, Allen headed to the Raccoon Police Department to deal with Katherin's problem.
Right now, Allen only had two options: either kill the man outright or dump the problem onto someone else.
Naturally, Allen chose the second option. It was much easier for him.
Besides, Allen had never killed a human with his own hands before. Even though he knew there might come a time when he would have to… that time definitely wasn't now.
...
Not long after, Allen walked into Chief Brian Irons' office at the Raccoon Police Department.
"Hey Allen, what brings you here?" Brian asked cheerfully, clearly expecting something green—money—from him.
But this time, things didn't go the way he expected.
"I came across something from someone. You might want to check it out first," Allen said casually as he sat down and handed Brian a cassette tape.
Brian frowned in confusion, but when he played the tape, his eyes widened in shock.
It contained evidence of his corruption with the mayor.
How could something like this have ended up in Allen's hands?
"Where did you get this video?" Brian demanded, his tone carrying a thinly veiled threat.
"Hey, no need to get so worked up. We're partners, aren't we? I got that recording from a reporter named Ben Bertolucci. How he managed to dig it up—you can ask him yourself. Just don't drag me into this mess," Allen said smoothly.
Allen already knew exactly who had been blackmailing Katherin.
It was that reporter—the same man who had approached her before. Clearly, he hadn't listened to Allen's warning to leave the city and instead decided to toy with her by making threats.
"Thanks, Allen. You've really helped me out this time," Brian said. "By the way, is there anything else you want to discuss?"
He still spoke respectfully. After all, Allen was the head of a massive company in America—someone far too important to disrespect.
"That's all. Oh, one more thing—Ben is probably working for someone else. So don't kill him right away. Find out who's pulling the strings and extract whatever information he's got first," Allen said before leaving Brian's office.
As for Ben, Brian would no doubt have him arrested as soon as possible.
....
A few days later, while Allen was enjoying his vacation, his phone rang—apparently, his time off had come to an end. The S.T.A.R.S. team was expected to regroup. Of course, Jill wouldn't be joining them; she had already taken maternity leave and was now relaxing at a large mansion in L.A. with the rest of Allen's wives, who were also pregnant. They had gathered there while Jill enjoyed her time away.
The reason for the call was troubling: the Raccoon City Newspaper had reported another case of missing people in the Arklay Mountains. It seemed the nightmare had returned barely two weeks after they had wiped out a large number of creatures in the area, which was supposed to be the infection's center.
Allen knew right away—this had to be Dr. Marcus' doing. And with this development, his plan to stage Annette's fake death could finally be set into motion. He had already instructed the Black Rose team to prepare for Annette's extraction from the city.
Not far away, Joseph sat reading the newspaper with a grim look on his face. "This is impossible! Didn't we already eliminate the monsters around the mountains?!" he said loudly, frustration clear in his voice.
Meanwhile, Rebecca sat beside Allen, leaning on his shoulder as she flipped through a medical book. Ever since she had been injected with Allen's Super Soldier Serum, she had developed a deep interest in medicine. She wanted to help Allen create new drugs that could benefit humanity. Naturally, Allen didn't stop her—he fully supported her passion and even encouraged her.
While they were still caught up in their own world, Chief Brian stormed into the room wearing a sour expression, clearly upset by the latest news.
"I've said it before—the Arklay area should've been completely cleared before we even thought about reopening it," he barked angrily at one of the city's management officials.
The man simply shook his head and replied, "This problem couldn't have been avoided. Let's not drag this out any longer," he said, clearly trying to dodge the responsibility.
Brian's scowl deepened, but he quickly shifted the burden away from himself. "Enrico, you and your team will be in charge of monitoring the outskirts of the city. As for the rest—Wesker, you'll be responsible if there are any changes in the mission."
With that, Brian turned on his heel and left the room. It was obvious he wanted nothing more to do with the situation, dumping all responsibility onto his subordinates.
"Well, you all heard the boss. Let's move out," Enrico said firmly.
Everyone nodded in agreement, and the team began to mobilize.
