The three Pokémon item lottery tickets quickly produced results:
"Ding! You've obtained a Prism Scale."
"Ding! You've obtained an HP Enhancer (Potent)."
"Ding! You've obtained a Leek."
Looking at the Prism Scale in his hand, Wayne pondered deeply. Should I try to evolve Feebas?
After eating Wayne's specially prepared food for over two months, Feebas's Beauty stat had actually already reached sufficient levels. Especially recently, with Feebas eating perfect-quality Energy Cubes, its Beauty stat had soared even higher.
When Feebas swam in the pond after leaving the safety of the rockery, its scales shimmered beautifully under the sunlight. Many customers had already praised Feebas's appearance—and one must remember, this was Feebas they were talking about. True to its species' reputation, it was remarkable if people didn't call it ugly.
The issue was that Feebas itself was unwilling to evolve. Or rather, it lacked the confidence to take that step, so it had never evolved.
Taking Feebas out of the Breeding Center was basically impossible, but there was a river near the facility...
Wayne had some ideas forming.
HP Enhancer (Potent):A nutritional drink that can slightly increase stamina after consumption. One bottle is six times stronger than normal!
Leek:Can be used to cook Pokémon curry, and is also the stem of the Galarian Farfetch'd's favorite plant.
This Leek was different from the ordinary leeks available through the League—it was the signature leek wielded by Galarian Farfetch'd. Longer, heavier, and thicker.
A regular Farfetch'd averaged about 15 kilograms in weight, while a Galarian Farfetch'd weighed 42 kilograms. It wasn't that Galarian Farfetch'd was much larger in actual body size—the difference was the leek! Subtracting the two weights, this leek alone weighed approximately 27 kilograms!
Wayne found an excuse to return to his room and retrieved the two-meter-long leek from his inventory.
Seeing it in person, Wayne was absolutely stunned. Is this even legal?
Starting with a two-meter leek as a weapon—won't it make Brutal Swing devastating?
Wayne didn't plan to use this leek for cooking—it wasn't necessary, although he didn't have a Galarian Farfetch'd yet. However, his family ran a Breeding Center, and he knew Blue and other Champion-level trainers, so obtaining a Galarian Farfetch'd wouldn't be difficult when the time came.
There was no rush for that matter, though. Currently, raising Drakloak and managing the Breeding Center's operations were already keeping Wayne extremely busy.
As for the Potent HP Enhancer, Wayne planned to distribute it fairly, letting Lucario and his other Pokémon each drink a portion.
During this period, Wayne had provided Lucario and his team with more than just items drawn from the system. Since his family operated a Breeding Center, he could acquire various items at relatively discounted prices. Wayne had even obtained a Mystic Water and kept it in Feebas's pond to enhance the Water-type's growth.
Wayne felt it was finally time for Feebas to evolve. Keeping it confined to the rockery pond wasn't conducive to its development anymore.
"Alan, Claire, Kinsley, Shion—I have an idea and need your help," Wayne announced.
"Helping Feebas? No problem!" they replied enthusiastically.
"I'll definitely work hard!" Shion added eagerly.
Besides Alan and the others, Lucario, Arcanine, and the other Pokémon were also targets of Wayne's request for assistance.
"Luca!" Lucario declared.
(I will complete this task elegantly!)
Wayne's personal Arcanine smiled confidently. "Woof!"
(Leave it to me, your big brother!)
"Woof woof!" The former Police Dog Arcanine was equally eager to help.
"Meta!" Metagross chimed in.
(Beep beep, plan success probability: high!)
"Finally, I need to ask you, Shaymin!"
"Shaymin!" The Mythical Pokémon responded enthusiastically. | • '-' • ) و ✧
Last but not least, Wayne needed Shaymin to give Feebas a spiritual cleansing using its special abilities.
Shaymin's injuries had long since healed. Wayne hadn't captured it in a Poké Ball, but Shaymin hadn't left either. After all, the Pokémon Hunter was still at large, and Lance was still investigating that matter.
However, Shaymin was no different from being Wayne's Pokémon—it even slept in Wayne's room, in a specially prepared bed.
Even the wild Water-type Pokémon residing at the Breeding Center were within Wayne's scope of assistance.
"Buizel~" The Buizel crossed its arms and nodded with determination.
"I'm counting on you too, Goldeen," Wayne added.
Wayne refused to believe that with so many people and Pokémon helping Feebas build confidence, he could possibly fail.
Seeing Wayne and Alan brimming with enthusiasm, brothers Levin and Leon smiled and nodded approvingly.
"Oh, a major operation!" Leon exclaimed.
"Dad, I still need your help too," Wayne added.
Leon looked surprised. "My turn as well?"
He'd originally planned to just be a spectator.
"When it comes to providing emotional support and encouragement, nobody's stronger than you," Wayne said sincerely.
Leon's eyes lit up with pride. "Really?!"
"Absolutely."
Wayne's ability to deliver encouraging words had definitely improved.
A busy day passed quickly, and time moved to evening.
The moon shone brightly with sparse stars visible, and the temperature had gradually warmed up. Throughout the afternoon, they'd prepared various items by the river, all for Feebas's evolution.
According to their carefully crafted plan, Wayne found Feebas alone.
"Feebas, let me take you out for a special outing," Wayne said gently.
"Gurgle~" Feebas narrowed its eyes contentedly and blew bubbles.
This was Wayne's second time taking Feebas outside its usual environment. The last time, he'd brought it to a room specially designed for bathing Pokémon. But this time, he had to take it to the river.
Feebas wasn't heavy—only about 8 kilograms—so Wayne easily picked it up with both hands. Although it was a Water-type Pokémon that usually stayed submerged, Feebas could also breathe on land for extended periods.
The riverbank at night was now brilliantly illuminated, with an Electivire supplying electricity to powerful floodlights. Metagross, using Psychic, controlled the floodlight angles, making the area as bright as midday.
Feebas's first reaction was confusion. Didn't he say we were just going out? Why are we at the river? And why are there so many people here?
Fortunately, the Pokémon and humans gathered here were all familiar faces—Feebas had known them since the Breeding Center's opening. Feebas wasn't at the point of panic yet.
Wayne looked down at Feebas cradled in his arms.
"Feebas, I brought you here today not for a simple outing, but because it's time for you to evolve," he explained softly.
"See? Everyone is here to cheer you on and support you."
?
Feebas's large eyes filled with confusion.
"Do you still remember Milotic?" Wayne asked meaningfully.
A spark of recognition appeared in Feebas's eyes.
"It seems you do remember."
At that moment, ripples appeared on the calm water's surface, and an elegant Milotic leaped gracefully into the air!
"Mee-woo~"
It was Cynthia's Milotic.
Wayne had specifically borrowed it for the evening. Under the floodlights, Milotic's scales shimmered with iridescent light, beautiful and absolutely captivating.
Upon hearing that it was for Feebas's evolution, Cynthia had unhesitatingly teleported Milotic over to help.
A circular hoop had been positioned in the middle of the river—perfect for Feebas to leap through. Goldeen, Buizel, and Milotic demonstrated by jumping through it one after another in succession.
"Jump through with them," Wayne encouraged.
"Buizel!" The Sea Weasel Pokémon floated on the water's surface, waving enthusiastically at Feebas.
Goldeen surfaced as well. "Tas~"
Under everyone's expectant gaze, Wayne gently placed Feebas on the grass by the riverbank and carefully attached the Prism Scale to its body.
Wayne encouraged firmly, "Go, Feebas! Embrace your moment of evolution!"
Kinsley clenched her fists supportively. "Go, Feebas! You can do it!"
"You're the best, Feebas!" Leon called out with maximum enthusiasm.
Feebas hesitated for a long moment by the river's edge, its tail fin swishing nervously in the grass. Finally, summoning its courage, it leaped into the river with determination.
