Chapter 211 - The First Night as Mrs. Watson

Jay jay's POV

The heavy wooden door of the bridal suite had clicked shut over an hour ago, but the battlefield inside was still raging.

I was sitting on the edge of the mattress, my legs tangled in a chaotic ocean of white tulle, on the absolute verge of crying. My arms were aching from twisting behind my back for the last twenty minutes, my fingers completely raw from clawing at the stubborn, invisible zipper that refused to budge. The heavy layers of the gown felt like a literal prison compressing my ribs. To make matters worse, my stomach let out a sharp, painfully loud growl. I was utterly exhausted, furious at a piece of fabric, and so incredibly hungry.

The bathroom door swung open, and Keifer stepped out. He had already changed into a comfortable pair of low-slung sweatpants, his hair damp from the shower, smelling faintly of cedar and soap. He stopped in his tracks, his eyes sweeping over the chaotic sight of me—red-faced, sniffling, wrestling with my own clothes, and looking utterly defeated.

A slow, incredibly wicked smirk spread across his handsome face.

"Well, well, well," Keifer chuckled, leaning his shoulder against the doorframe, crossing his arms over his bare chest. His dark eyes glinted with pure amusement at my reaction. "What do we have here? A fierce, predatory bride defeated by a row of silk buttons?"

"Keifer, it's not funny!" I whined, my voice cracking dramatically as a tear threatened to spill. "I am trapped, I can't breathe, and if I don't get some food in my system in the next five minutes, I am going to combust. Help me!"

"Alright, alright, stop wriggling, my life," he teased, walking over with a lazy, deliberate stride that made my heart do a dangerous flip. He sat down directly behind me on the bed, his large, warm hands instantly replacing my clumsy fingers at the back of the dress.

But he didn't just unzip it. Instead, he leaned close, his warm breath fanning against my ear as his fingers deliberately dallied on the top button. "You know, you were very impatient at the altar. Now look at you, begging me to take your clothes off."

"Keifer!" I gasped, a blush rushing to my cheeks as his thumbs brushed against the bare skin of my neck.

"Shh, let a professional work," he whispered, his voice dropping into a low, smoky register that was entirely unfair. He popped the first button, then the second, his knuckles intentionally sliding down the sensitive line of my spine, sending a violent shiver straight down my body. "Though, I have to say... you look incredibly edible when you're frustrated. Makes me want to skip the kitchen entirely."

"I am starving," I reminded him through gritted teeth, even as my core throbbed at his touch. "Food first!"

"Oh, you'll get your food," Keifer murmured, his voice laced with shameless, intent as his hands moved lower, unlooping the buttons with agonizing slowness, teasing me until the fabric finally split open to expose my bare back to the cool air. He leaned forward, pressing a hot, lingering kiss right between my shoulder blades, making me gasp.

As the heavy corset loosened, his large, warm hands didn't stop at my spine. With a low growl, he slid them around to the front, slipping under the silk and lace to cup my breasts, holding them carefully and massaging the ache away with a slow, heavy pressure. I let out a breathy whimper, melting right back against his chest.

"It hurts, right?" Keifer murmured against my ear, his thumbs brushing over the tight peaks through the fabric as he worked to ease the restriction. "The dress is too tight. I saw it during the reception. I explicitly told the designer to make it comfortable, but it's clearly not looking like a comfortable one."

He shifted, pressing me tighter against him as his hands mapped my curves. Slowly, his eyes closed, his broad palms flattening over my chest.

"God, you're breathing so fast," he whispered, his voice rough and thick with possession as he felt the frantic thud against his palms. "Feel that... I can feel your heartbeat right here on my palm. You're completely mine now. My wifey."

The word sent a jolt of pure electricity through me, making my chest heave against his hands.

He squeezed gently one last time before reluctantly bringing his hands around to pull the bodice completely free, letting the top of the gown drape down around my waist. He buried his face in the crook of my neck, inhaling deeply.

"You definitely need to eat," Keifer murmured, his expression turning affectionate yet deeply mischievous as he bit gently at my collarbone. "Because right after you are done, the focus shifts entirely to you, and there will be no more teasing."

The tension from the stuck zipper seemed to melt away completely, replaced by a lively, electric energy. I turned around to face him, a bright, flushed smile returning to my face as I looked into his dark eyes.

"Is that a promise?" I challenged, finding my usual confident tone again.

Keifer laughed softly, leaning down to press a quick, heavy kiss to my lips before pointing toward the desk. "Go look over there. The room service arrived while I was getting changed. Go ahead and eat, because the rest of the evening is going to be just as lively."

Keifer's POV

I watched my new wife devour that room service like it was the best thing she'd ever tasted, but the minute she popped the last fry into her mouth, her entire demeanor shifted. Jay Jay didn't just finish eating—she practically radiated mischief. She knew exactly what was coming.

She looked over at me, a wicked little glint in her eyes, and wiped her mouth with a napkin. "You know, Keifer... all that grease? I feel a little dirty. I think I want to take a bath."

She lingered on the words, giving me a look that was pure, unadulterated provocation before slipping into the bathroom. I groaned, leaning my head back against the headboard. The woman was an absolute menace, and she knew exactly how much she was torturing me.

But nothing prepared me for when the bathroom door finally opened again.

She stepped back into the bedroom, having changed into a elegant gown. The contrast from earlier was striking; she looked completely radiant, relaxed from the warm bath and smiling softly. She was absolutely breathtaking, carrying an air of quiet confidence that drew all attention entirely to her.

She walked toward the bed and sat down closely, the playful spark still bright in her eyes.

"A bath, huh?" Keifer murmured, looking up at her expression. "You kept me waiting on purpose."

She laughed softly, leaning in closer, her expression shifting to one of shared warmth and affection, completely matching the close bond built between them over time.

Keifer's POV

I swore my heart stopped the exact second her feet hit the bedroom floor.

Jay Jay wasn't just walking toward me she was on a literal warpath to destroy whatever sanity I had left. She knew damn well what she was doing. We had been together long enough, ruined each other in this bed enough times, for her to know every single one of my triggers. And right now, she was pulling them all at once.

The short, revealing gown she wore was a crime. It barely covered her thighs, clinging to her damp skin and showcasing every single curve I had just been mapping out through her wedding dress. She looked completely breathtaking—flushed from the steam of the bath, smelling like sweet vanilla, and radiating a level of confidence that had my blood roaring in my ears.

She crawled onto the mattress, her movements agonizingly slow, her dark eyes locked onto mine with a wicked, heavy satisfaction. She was literally torturing me in her own way, taking her sweet time because she knew I was already wound tighter than a guitar string.

When she finally reached me, she didn't hesitate. She swung her leg over and sat directly on my lap, striding my waist.

The heat of her skin zapped right through the thin fabric of my sweatpants, making my jaw clench so hard it ached. My hands moved entirely on instinct, my large palms gripping her hips tightly, digging into her skin to anchor her against me.

"You're a menace, you know that?" I growled, my voice thick, rough, and completely stripped of any patience. I leaned up, my face inches from hers, my eyes dark as I tracked the smug, beautiful smile on her lips. "You sit here tormenting me after I sat there watching you eat? I told you what would happen when you were done."

Jay Jay just giggled, a soft, breathless sound that vibrated right against my chest. She leaned forward, deliberately pressing her chest against mine, her small hands coming up to tangle in my damp hair.

"Oh, I remember," she whispered, her breath hot against my lips, her hips giving a subtle, torturous shift against my lap that nearly made me lose my mind. "But I think I'd rather see you beg for it first, hubby."

The word hubby did it. Whatever tiny thread of control I was hanging onto snapped completely.

"That's it," I muttered. My grip on her hips tightened as I flipped our positions in one sudden, chaotic blur of movement, pinning her flat against the mattress beneath me.
