"An amulet?"
Dazed, Liam gently traced his fingers over the newly added bracelet on his wrist. He could keenly detect a subtle layer of energy enveloping the beads—a distinct vibration that was difficult to describe.
But he could absolutely feel its presence. Perhaps, just as Suzy had said, this object really could protect his life at a critical juncture. Still, something like this had to be incredibly rare and valuable.
The fact that Suzy had gifted him such a precious item yet again struck a deep chord in his heart.
"I already owe you so much," Liam murmured, his voice dropping low. "This must be extremely rare... Suzy, you should keep it for yourself. I can't keep taking things from you."
As he spoke, he began to slide the bracelet off his wrist.
