When the words 'None of this is real.' sank in, Ezekiel's sight seemed to have it's veil peeled off. The scene of Kael being torn together by his teammates disappeared, replaced by Clyde who was trying to tear off the Willow Wishing tree's thick roots from Ezekiel's torso.
"Hey, wake up!" Clyde was successful after slicing one thick root like tentacles in half.
Ezekiel and Clyde's eyes met. And a sharp slap rang out.
"You awake dimwit?! Stop lying down there in a daze and get out!"
It's like a switch was activated. Ezekiel pulled out Oz and used it's tentacles to cut the Willow Wishing tree's trunks in small cuts.
In no time, the trees that swarmed them were defeated. Clyde was still in his penalty mode and couldn't move his jelly- like legs. But he did not fall into the illusion like Ezekiel did.
When Clyde woke Ezekiel up, Ezekiel defeated all the Willow Wishing trees within a few seconds, sparing Clyde some efforts.
