Luna's eyebrows shot up when she heard what was said by the person outside the door. For a moment, she had forgotten where she was, and hearing the voice outside, Luna had to halt what she was doing. The sleep instantly fell off from her eyes. Was that one of the omegas in the pack house?
She hoped not, not wanting to deal with another of her bullies. Luna cleared her throat, her heart beating through her panic.
"I am perfectly capable of doing that myself. Please do not bother with me," Luna called back to the person, restlessness in her voice.
If it were Molly, the omega who came to inform her about the Lycan King yesterday, she would have been fine having her inside the room. But the voice she heard sounded oddly familiar, not like Molly. The name of the person who had the voice stayed on her tongue like a bad omen she was trying to pray against.
