Luna saw the woman take a step back in disbelief and heard her mumble, "This," the old woman said, before she continued as if she had forgotten Luna was still there. "This does not feel right," the woman added, slowly shaking her head as if disappointed at whatever she had seen.
This made Luna confused and worried. "What is not right, Ma'am? Whatever did you see while looking at my palm?" she asked, worry clouding her voice.
And just then the woman seemed to realize that she was not alone. She turned to look at Luna, her gaze filled with apology. "For a moment there, I thought you were the one," the woman said slowly, shaking her head as if she had been so wrong, while Luna's gaze furrowed with question.
"The one for what? Please elaborate," Luna gently asked. She was intrigued by the way the old woman was acting. Her voice now was laced with genuine curiosity.
