Thalia's POV
From Agatha dying the night before, to the maid telling me that I have a weird scent on me, to Elena appearing out of thin air and waiting to talk to Kade, a lot was happening in a span of a few hours.
As the doors swing open to Kade's study, I watch as the maid turns the corner and disappear without another word.
It's almost as if she didn't just tell me that I have a scent on me that I can't pick up on.
She has left me wondering why Kade or Cassian, the best wolves that this pack has to offer, haven't picked up on it while a young girl like her, did.
The creaking of the door is what snaps me back to reality and I brush off her statement, putting a pin on it in my mind and deciding that I'm going to follow up on it later.
However, as I turn and get ready to barge into the room, I feel a presence next to me.
Almost as if all my other senses had gone numb, I didn't notice that someone had literally walked up next to me, and has been standing there waiting with me.
