Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6 :AWAKENING

The morning sun was brighter than ever and everyone seemed active as always with the gaze of the sun so strong that it makes the blue sky become fat and glossy with heat and with a few thin cirri sheared to blown strands like hair at the rims. *BOOOOOOOOOONG* the church bell rang as what it seemed like a minister was about to make a prayer with the few people who were present. He knelt toward the altar with a person on a cross on the top of it. And these were the words which came from his mouth: "Dear Lord God we thank you for gathering us here and bringing us into your presence...". But standing up high was Felix as he was observing everything from behind the scenes. He was actually here for important business and was waiting for someone but that person was taking forever. "Dear Lord we pray you take care of us and continue to make us prosper...." the man praying continues and Felix starts to feel the presence of someone coming and that person was no other than Mia. "I thought you said you would close earlier rather than making me wait here for a longer period of time" Felix complains. "The madam didn't close us the time she was supposed to and loaded us with some extra assignments so sorry I couldn't make it in time" Amy apologizes with a smile on her face. "You should worry not because not that you are back everything is settled" Felix assures. "Father Lord, we pray that you cleanse us from all inequities and sins of our past... the man praying states with a few statements left to finish his prayer. "The seven sins of man:wrath,pride,greed,sloth,envy,glutton and lust. The same concept that has been binded into the nature of man since their first fathers" Felix speaks. "And those acts have been scraped into their nature ever since they were first committed and by that a pact was forged". "A pact which allowed the negative energy and intent from these acts give birth and rise to cursed spiritual creatures and beasts". Felix spoke. "The accumulation of that negative intent from those acts are what gives rises to those beasts and also makes them stronger, but there existed people who hadn't strayed away from the will of The Author and fought to deliver man from these acts and their effects but man had fallen short to these acts and there was nothing The Fates could even and eventually they became consumed by those acts too and their number had reduced" Mia states. "And these creatures are not only feeding on the negativity from humans but are consuming their wills and taking over their body and even feeding on them but humans can't perceive them unless those who knowledge and have faith in the truth" Mia ends. " Yeah so I guess we can uses those creatures in testing our abilities and knowing our limits and it will benefit us and those who are continuously getting consumed by these creatures" Felix suggests as he decides to use these so called cursed creatures to test their limits and in turn help others as well. These creatures were as said by the siblings born from the curse of sin and evil placed on this world and there were those who had knowledge of of The Author and those people using their faith and belief channeled divine essence from The Author himself but their essence wasn't close to that of beings like Felix and her sister but their faith was the determinant to how strong they could grow meaning the stronger your faith the more power and blessing but the world had drifted away from the truth and now the curse of evil has taken over. Now the ones who had that faith and knowledge about The One who is above all have now become very rare to find so these particular beasts had multiplied in huge numbers and those who even followed the ways of truth didn't have those numbers to control their growth. But Felix and Mia had come to a thought that they can use these beasts as a stepping stone to tests their strengths, close in on the enemy at hand and all at the same time protecting the lives and guaranteeing the safety of people who couldn't protect themselves against such creatures. "So where are we heading to?" Mia asks. "I found a place not too far away from here and it seems like a place where we won't get tracked" Felix confirms. "You know you shouldn't let your guard down right? Anything can happen and you know how people will overreact when we get caught" Mia states issuing a matter of caution to her brother. "If we were to get caught on camera it would have been way more worse" Felix says with a slight laugh. "We should get going then, we shouldn't waste time around here" Felix urges and he and Mia make their leave from the church. "Humans and their beliefs, pretty weird right" Mia speaks. "Well it's not our place to judge them let them do what they wwant to do their judgement pretty much awaits them" Felix replies to Mia's statement. "So we're supposed to test out our abilities here". "Yeah the area is spacious enough incase if we go out of hand and there aren't any surrounding settlements here as you can see for yourself" Felix confirms the safety of where they were about to test themselves out. They get themselves ready and they follow the most basic way to awaken control of their abilities which is them focusing their essence. They started by sitting down and closing their eyes, they remained so static and focused that not even a hair flinched. The leaves from the surrounding trees kept rustling as Felix and Mia were slowly assuming control of their power. Then the leaves and weeds around Mia started changing structure and form which was an indicator that her abilities had awakened. Her mere presence was changing the surrounding area around her, then her eyes opened in an instant with her eye showing the a dark blue color. She then changed the structure of the different trees around her and she was able to get a hand on her powers but she couldn't use it a large scale. Then her eyes reverted back to their normal color and suddenly the wind speed and direction started changing and Mia was guessing it was the effect of Felix's essence and truly it was. Felix's eyes opened and as he tried to grasp control of his abilities he had seen the effects of Mia's power. "So you've gotten a hang over your power, I see" Felix speaks and he tries to keep his essence in control and then all of a sudden he weaves a sign with his hands and then from out of nowhere a light beam headed straight across Mia but she acted in time to get out of the way but it didn't mean she was fast enough to react to light beam she just reacted a moment quicker before the light beam made it out of Felix's palm. "Hey what was that for! Amy exclaims angry that Felix could have injured her or ended her life that instant. Felix then changed his direction and started spawning out those light beams and he was starting to get a hold of his ability. He was able to control the range and direction of the light beams and he ended up taking some trees down but Mia restructured all of them back into different sizes. The main core of her ability dealt with what substances are made up of, their structure and their interactions. Meaning she could influence anything with form and structure but she hadn't fully been able to master the peak of her abilities at her current level. Felix was still trying to get hold of his power then all of a sudden he was attacked from out of nowhere with flames coming his way but he was able to get out of the way. Mia then came out of nowhere and started projecting flames and then she lighted up her wrist and charged head on for Felix. She had aimed for Felix with her blazing wrist but he was nowhere to be found. "So he was able to evade. Then out of nowhere Felix with a blitz attempt almost caught his sister off guard but Mia was able to evade what was a blow from Felix and she could feel the external force from that blow but Felix trued to catch her off with a light beam aiming for her gut but she reduced the effect of the light beam by intercepting it with her flaming hands. She then switched into combat mode. Then her right wrist started igniting sparks with the left still blazing with flames she charged up to attack Felix but when she closed the distance preparing to land a strike Felix had vanished from plain sight. Then light beams started coming out of nowhere but Mia had changed the structure of the ground and had used it to barricade herself but then Felix just appeared in her sights and in that same instant he was behind her landing a spin kick with so much force that it sent her flying. But before Amy could even land from that impact Felix had blitzed her again and landed another kick sending her to the ground. *COUGH—!* "Damn how did he become so fast" Mia thinks as she coughs from the pain of the kick. Felix had still vaniahed in plain sight but Mia had kept her composure and even closed her eyes to focus Felix had then appeared instantly but Mia had used the ground to her advantage. She changed the structure of the ground in an instant and caught Felix's ankle right before he could land a blow. Mia then had changed the form of her arm and then sent a huge blow towards Felix and it had sent him a long way. Then Mia used the trees by changing their form to set a trap for Felix but Felix used his speed and area control to navigate his way through them. "So he used vector control to manipulate the direction and area of the traps and he directly minimized the force of attraction so it took him a longer time to land" Mia speculates and her thinking was actually true. For Felix he now had basic control over physical laws and concepts but he didn't have full control over all those laws meaning he couldn't manipulate all physical laws and the the ones he could already control he couldn't use them on a large scale. Felix then spwans out of nowhere to land an blow on Mia but she was able to detect him this time and duck his attack. Then they started excahnging blows. Mia threw a punch after swerving Felix's blow but Felix catches her punch and blocks another blow from her right, throws her left away and lands a punch near her ribs and swerves another blow from the left and tries a low kick but Mia also intercepts and lands a barrage of blows but all to blocked by Felix and he manages to land a blow on the face and lands another blow down below with his right hand and he starts to overwhelm Mia but she reforms her arm into a rocky structure and Felix had gotten locked in place again just like what happened a few moments ago. Mia landed a heavy punch but it didn't do any great damage because Felix had intervened with his abilities. He reduced the pressure on contact exerted by Mia's blow so the effect was brief. Then Felix increased the friction between him and the leg trap he had been caught hold in and he slipped out with ease and he caught another blow from Mia the incresed his physical force so he was able to overpower Mia and then land a blow with so much pressure that the force had a huge effect on Mia's body even causing internal damage. Another blow caught her chin that instant and it sent her flying again. Mia became heated up and therefore awakening more of her power. Then sparks began to ignite all over her body and by using the generated charge around her she increased her speed and movement closing the gap between her and Felix and with electrical sparks around her wrists she charged at Felix throwing punches left,right and center but Felix had that reaction timing to dodge all of her blows. Then he also he also threw a punch to the left but Mia blocked and and threw another punch but Felix ducked and made a turn catching another blow of hers and also blocking a kick and he then jumps and delivers a knee but Mia had her two hands covering blocking the attack. Felix then spin kicks but Mia got her hands up in time but Felix then balanced himself so well that he converted into a leap and delivered a kick but Mia swerved in time and back handspring and landed smoothly and Felix's direct kick step had landed into the ground with the force causing deep cracks in the ground. "Pretty god reflexes there" Felix praises. "I could say the same about you" Mia speaks also praising Felix. "I guess you adapted quickly to your power" Mia states. "Well I would also say the same for you. You have more better control than I have" Felix claims. "*laughs* You really think like that" Mia says igniting sparks of charge and her other hand burnig with flames. "Ok so this is how it's going huh" Felix says with his hands emitting bright light. He was readying his light beams and preparing to attack. Mia then shot lighning and flames respectively from her left and right hands and Felix with his light beams ready fired back with both of their attacks calshing with each other and they tried to overpower each other with their attacks Mia got the upper hand at some point but Felix didn't ahow any signs of backing down yet. And he pushed himself back to get the upper hand but none of them could fully overpower each other and their attacks collided causing an explosion and shockwave which spread all across but luckily it didn't cause any huge damage. "Phew! We were pretty lucky there" Felix said as he laid on the ground. "What do you mean? Mia asks. "We didn't do pretty much damage or else who knows we might have caught some attention around here" Felix assumes. "But here is supposed to be a place where people don't wander about just like that" Mia states. "Yeah I know but you know humans.. they're curious so anything could have just happened" Felix asumes. "Well I guess that's enough for today" Mia yawns. "I'm pretty tired" she continues. "Oh come on this nothing compared to what's to come and I do believe you already know that" Felix says. "Yeah I know but I guess this body is giving me that feeling" Mia says. "Well there is more ahead of us and since everything went pretty well today we can start fighting those beats and handling other important things" she continues. "We also shouldn't let our guard down, we have to be prepared for anything" Felix motivates. "I know that but we don't have to rush" Mia speaks. "So we're leaving for school right? Mia asks. "Yeah we should get going,I even have a class in a few hours time" Felix says. He and his sister make their leave for campus. They made their way to canpus quicker due to their abilities. They now had different motives in plan which was to hut down these so called spiritual creatures which were built from the wrongs of humans. They had in mind to use these beasts to get in track with their enemies and also make them grow more stronger but they were ready to face their any challenge that came their way. After all they wanted to pursue what was right and would ensure the peace in the cosmos and the heavens but they would need to grow more stronger that what they have already become.
