"Have you received any news about him?"
"I have," the voice on the other end replied, heavy and strained. "But I think we need to meet in person. There is something extremely serious I need to discuss with you."
A sudden coldness gripped the woman as she tightened her hold on the phone. "Fine, where? Do you want to grab lunch, or should you just come over to my office?"
"Are you busy?"
"Nothing is more important than this right now," she countered without a second thought. "So, I'll make time. Whenever, wherever. I need that information."
"Alright, let's meet at the Café. How does that sound?"
"Send me the address. I'm heading there right now."
The moment the call disconnected, a text arrived containing the location of the café. She snapped the laptop shut, grabbed her coat, and left without another second wasted.
As the brunette stormed past the reception desk, her secretary blinked in surprise. "Miss Fortunata, where are you going?"
