"He Qiao?"
Li Yiyi lifted her eyelids. 'Isn't He Qiao Chu Yao's assistant?'
The assistant seemed to think Li Yiyi didn't know who He Qiao was, so she quickly added, "She's the assistant to the actress playing the second female lead."
"Why was she with a man?"
Li Yiyi didn't say anything. Instead, another junior assistant asked the question.
"Who knows? It was still dark out. Sister Yi's bird's nest soup had arrived, and I saw them when I went down to get it. They were acting all sneaky, like a couple of thieves."
"You don't think he's some rumored boyfriend of the second female lead, do you?"
"Boyfriend? What kind of boyfriend needs to be that secretive? If you ask me, it's something shady. Don't forget, that woman isn't as simple as she looks. Otherwise, how could she have landed the role of a supporting character to our Sister Yi? She'd be playing a minor maid at best."
Li Yiyi didn't like Chu Yao. Others might not have known, but her assistants certainly did.
