Some time later, Shen Yi heard footsteps approaching from behind him. He didn't turn around, unconcerned.
However, the footsteps grew closer and closer, finally stopping right beside him.
Shen Yi finally turned his head slightly and saw Mi Feifei standing a foot or two away. She was wearing a beautiful cocktail dress and holding a glass of champagne.
"Mr. Shen, why aren't you inside? Just enjoying the breeze out here alone?"
Mi Feifei offered a charming smile. Her every move was graceful and pleasant to watch, putting others at ease.
Shen Yi put on his usual gentlemanly expression. "Miss Fei'er, good evening."
Shen Yi didn't answer Mi Feifei's question. He knew she wasn't genuinely asking—it was just small talk.
Mi Feifei smiled and raised her glass. "It's my first time working with you, Mr. Shen. I hope it will be a pleasure."
"To a pleasant collaboration."
Shen Yi politely raised his glass, and they both took a symbolic sip.
