Chu Yao snarked internally. She stopped pretending to be asleep and turned over, her eyes, glinting in the darkness, staring straight at the person who had mysteriously shown up on her bed.
Lu Xize was clearly stunned. Apparently, he hadn't expected Chu Yao to still be awake.
Chu Yao spoke. "Sir, could you explain why you are on my bed?"
Chu Yao's voice wasn't loud, but she practically bit out each word. Her brow was furrowed, and her eyebrow even seemed to twitch twice.
'It's incredibly awkward to get caught red-handed.' Chu Yao wasn't truly angry. On the contrary, what she really wanted to see was Lu Xize's awkward expression after being caught, and the flustered, embarrassed look he'd have while trying to explain himself.
But she had to admit, Miss Chu had underestimated a certain someone's quick-thinking and thick skin.
