Zhang Wenliang watched as Gao Qiuyu gradually established a plan for his future goals in Wen Ying's clinic. Then he saw Wen Ying give him a yellow piece of paper with what looked like a few words written on it.
The distance was a bit too far and the angle was off, so he couldn't see the words clearly.
He could only see the very end of it. The character for 'direction,' maybe?
After finishing his business, Gao Qiuyu looked over at Zhang Wenliang, his eyes full of curiosity.
Zhang Wenliang felt a bit speechless under his gaze. "What do you want to say?"
"Zhang the Scholar, aren't geniuses like you supposed to be bookworms who do nothing but study, the type who wears a pair of thick glasses? Why don't I see any of that in you?"
Zhang Wenliang said, "From what Sister Wen Ying just said, you were a top student in college. So, were you a bookworm who did nothing but study?"
Gao Qiuyu shook his head. "Of course not!"
