Julian Chambers, who had been standing outside the door, walked in. "The residential area is no longer safe. I think we need to leave."
He glanced at Zoe Pierce and asked, "How much longer until she wakes up?"
Nathan Lockwood checked the time on his Intelligent Brain. "Probably within half an hour."
They had all heard the evacuation sirens from the residential area and knew Julian Chambers was right. The Xenobeasts were starting to spread, and it was no longer suitable to stay here.
He stood up, his fingers brushing across the cotton bedsheet. Then, before anyone could react, he bent down and lifted Zoe Pierce into his arms. "Zoe will be in my Mecha. It'll be easier for me to look after her and check if she has any other issues."
Without waiting for the others to react, Nathan Lockwood left the room, walked to the main entrance, and deployed his Mecha.
