He didn't even know what effect the "to be continued" mark would have on Zoe Pierce's gland.
'Damn it. As soon as we get off this damn planet, I have to get Zoe Pierce checked out immediately. What if that uncontrollable gland of hers goes haywire again?'
'This time it was me. Next time, who will it be?'
As his thoughts drifted here, his fingers tightened.
Miles Sherman's voice, tinged with a robotic quality, came through the wireless channel. "Passed out? What happened?"
Aaron Xavier looked up at the space, still pitch-black. "It seems like she remembered being trapped in the mining accident."
"It triggered a stress response."
Miles Sherman's voice on the other end was quicker now. "Can you break out?"
