Julian Chambers returned to his own mecha as well, leaving only Miles Sherman, Nathan Lockwood, and Aaron Xavier on the ground.
Aaron Xavier's hand rested on his own shoulder and neck. Seeing this, Miles Sherman walked over and looked at his shoulder. "Can you still pilot your mecha?"
"It's fine." Aaron Xavier forced a smile, a hint of indescribable disappointment in his eyes.
The feeling had been at its worst when he watched Chase Shaw carry Zoe Pierce away, his back turned to him.
Perhaps Miles Sherman was the one who could understand Aaron Xavier best.
After all, if Chase Shaw hadn't suddenly appeared back then, he might not have been able to control himself after marking Zoe Pierce either.
But there were no what-ifs. Chase Shaw's appearance back then had, to a great extent, caused a shift in his own mindset.
