Nathan Lockwood was far more of a schemer than Chase Shaw.
While changing his mecha's position, Nathan Lockwood said, "It's easier for you to investigate."
Of course, difficult tasks should be left to the professionals.
His family was in pharmaceuticals; investigating the mecha's energy source would be a huge hassle for him. For Chase Shaw, on the other hand, the same task would be a piece of cake.
Chase Shaw was hiding on the rooftop of a building. His eyes narrowed, and he aimed his laser gun at Nathan Lockwood again. His tone carried a hint of arrogance. "Fine. But if you don't start fighting me seriously, you're going to lose."
The laser beam shot out with lightning speed. Nathan Lockwood seemed to sense the direction of the attack and lurched his whole mecha forward.
But he was a fraction too late. A part of the mecha's body was hit, and on the control panel, another chunk of his score vanished.
Chase Shaw put away the Laser Laser Gun in his hands and drew a longsword.
