The mother and son remained settled on the sofa, their juice glasses now empty.
They both picked up glasses and poured themselves some water.
The atmosphere was still a bit tense. It was Li Ming who finally broke the silence. He asked his mother, "Do you think the food from the streamer I recommended is any good?"
"It's delicious," his mother replied without hesitation.
"Better than the food we get at the Federation Restaurant?"
"Yes." His mother found it incredible, too. Before the stream had even started, she'd resolved to herself, 'No matter how this livestream goes, I need to have a proper talk with my son. We need to put the past behind us.'
She hadn't expected to eat anything particularly delicious from a livestream.
