"I'll just leave the things here. I—" She had wanted to say she would go in and take a look, but the people inside the glass enclosure were bustling about. The small animals were either hanging their heads or lying on the ground. It didn't seem like there would be much for her to see if she went in alone.
She thought for a moment, then announced she was leaving.
The young man tried to get her to stay, but Jiang Qiuqiu shook her head. "I have something to do, so I'll head back for now. If you're always in need of food, I can bring another batch in a while."
"We really do. Thank you so much."
"Could you please leave your name?" the young man in green asked, offering his pen.
"There's no need to leave a name. I'll be back. Thanks for your help."
The young man in green watched Jiang Qiuqiu's back as she left, standing there for a long, long time.
