As dusk settled in, Li Xiu finally finished work and headed home. He saw Zhou Lian bustling in the kitchen, and a blissful smile spread across his face. He quickly washed up and went to help her.
"Bao'er, let me take over. You go rest," Li Xiu said, hugging his wife and giving her a kiss.
"I'm almost done. Just take the dishes to the table," Zhou Lian said with a smile, looking at the man who refused to let her go. She had grown accustomed to Li Xiu holding her whenever he was home, kissing her at a moment's notice. 'It's a scary habit, but I don't dislike it.'
"Alright, Bao'er, go wash your hands," Li Xiu said, stealing another quick kiss before gently pushing her to go wash up for dinner.
Sitting at the dinner table and looking at the feast his wife had prepared, Li Xiu hesitantly asked her in a low voice, "Bao'er, can I have a little wine? Just a small cup."
