Gu Yaohui didn't even need to ask. Nanny Xu had gone to prepare refreshments the moment she welcomed Shen Nian inside. Just as he finished speaking, Nanny Xu appeared with a tray of tea and snacks.
"Miss Shen, I wasn't sure what you like, so I prepared a little bit of everything. Please, have a taste."
"Thank you, Nanny Xu."
Shen Nian could feel the sincerity in Nanny Xu's voice and didn't want to disappoint her. She sampled all the snacks Nanny Xu served, and even took a few extra bites of the ones she particularly enjoyed.
Nanny Xu was delighted to see Shen Nian enjoying her homemade snacks and silently made a mental note of her favorites.
