Meng Sijia looked at Lu Cheng, her face a mask of grievance. She wanted to play the victim and explain herself.
However, she had barely opened her mouth before Lu Cheng cut her off.
"Please call me Mr. Lu."
A name like "Lu Cheng" wasn't something just anyone could use. Moreover, the cloying way Meng Sijia said it really grated on his ears.
His wife's voice, on the other hand, sounded so much better when she said his name. Of course, it was even better when she called him 'Ah Cheng'.
Shen Nian had only called him 'Ah Cheng' a few times, but Lu Cheng had already grown to love it.
Hearing Lu Cheng's words, Meng Sijia's face instantly paled. Her body trembled slightly, as if she had suffered a massive blow.
Shen Nian watched Meng Sijia. 'That pitiful, damsel-in-distress look probably works wonders on most men,' she thought.
