Lu Cheng hadn't expected Shen Nian to jump right off of him and, on top of that, run straight into the bathroom and shut the door.
But thankfully, judging from her movements just now, she didn't seem to be seriously injured.
'Could it be she really isn't hurt? But if she's not hurt, then where did the blood come from?'
Lu Cheng couldn't figure it out. He called out to Shen Nian through the bathroom door, and only after confirming she was all right inside did he go find some clothes for her.
A few minutes later, Shen Nian emerged from the bathroom, all cleaned up.
The moment Shen Nian opened the door, Lu Cheng hurried over and pulled her in to inspect her from head to toe.
"Are you really okay?"
"I'm fine. I told you, I'm really not hurt."
"Then, where did the blood come from?"
Lu Cheng had clearly smelled the metallic tang of blood. It was definitely blood, not paint or something similar.
