Void is unlike light, unlike dark, and even unlike negative.
Void is non-existence.
But the concept of the void is embodied in logic, in mathematics and physics.
Take rotation, for example.
In the world of real numbers, you cannot go from positive one to negative one without passing through zero.
But from the perspective of imaginary numbers, you can bypass zero. You can multiply positive one by *i* to get a positive imaginary number, then multiply by *i* again to get negative one.
This is one application of imaginary numbers.
It constructs a complete logic that makes the transformation continuous, as if building and traversing another dimension.
In physics, imaginary numbers are used to describe possibilities waiting to happen.
The state of a particle is uncertain before it is observed and collapses.
This uncertainty, this non-existence, is itself the void.
This "nothingness" between instances of "something" serves as a medium.
