Once they have completely undergone Dao Transformation and become unobservable matter,
the physical bodies of Extraordinary Beings cannot be observed by ordinary people.
They are phantoms, ghosts, traveling through another dimension, separated from the mortal world by an invisible yet insurmountable curtain.
The gazes of mortals pass right through them as if through air; their fingers sweep through them as if through light and shadow.
But where Extraordinary Beings differ from pure phantoms and ghosts is that their bodies can choose to manifest themselves.
They can transform from a state of unobservable matter into an observable one that can be seen, touched, and can interact with the mortal world.
And because of the existence of their cognitive anchors, they choose to live in an observable form most of the time.
Just like Murphy.
Just like Cheris.
Just like all the Immortals in this world who advance through the Source Sea but have not yet become lost.
